Originating in India, Andar Bahar is a rather simple casino game that won’t take much time to get used to. We’ll guide you through a typical round to help you understand how Andar Bahar is played.
The table is divided into two card piles – Andar and Bahar. The dealer will first draw a single card separate from these piles – this card is called the Joker. They will then draw cards alternatively for the Andar and Bahar piles. The goal of Andar Bahar is to correctly predict which of these two piles will be the first to draw a card of the same value as the Joker. The dealer will continue drawing more cards until one Andar or Bahar receives a winning card.
Whether you choose to bet on Andar or Bahar mostly doesn’t really matter. By that, we mean that both sides have an equal chance of winning. However, the card pile that receives the first card from the shoe is at a slight advantage. This is determined by the initial Joker card. If the Joker is black (Clubs or Spades), the first card goes to Andar. If it’s red (Diamonds or Hearts), the first card goes to Bahar. However, all bets in Andar Bahar by Betgames are made before the Joker card is revealed. As such, this rule does not affect the odds or your chances of winning.

That said, Betgames did try to make the returns of the Card Count side bet more consistent. That’s why the returns are not really whole numbers. While the exact RTP remains unpublished, this makes the various options fairer across the board. The same is true for the Joker Card – all options are more or less equal in terms of betting value.

The Betgames Andar Bahar live table game is somewhat barebones in terms of features – though that was quite intentional. The options menu allows you to change the video quality and audio settings, and that’s it. The roadmap is also fairly rudimentary, with a simple counter and percentage display. This leaves the side bets as the game’s distinguishing features.
The first – Card Count – is rather common among top live dealer Andar Bahar games. The goal is simply to predict how many cards will be drawn before the round is total. Betting options are divided into 5-card segments. For instance, if you pick the 11-15 range, your bet wins if the Joker appears as card number 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15. THe higher the number, the less likely your bet is to win, but the higher the returns.
The other Live Andar Bahar side bet is more original, but still quite simple. The options are rather different, but boil down to the same thing – predicting which card will be the Joker in the first place. You can predict the card’s color, suit, and even value.
