The OnAir Entertainment Live Blackjack game is this new provider’s first-ever release. 2021 brought forward a relatively large number of new devs, and OnAir’s debut went live on November 25. Their plans seem to include roulette wheels in the future, including an Auto Roulette game. We’ll make sure to keep you posted.
For now, let’s focus on what OnAir Blackjack has to offer. At first glance, it’s clear that this is a classic live dealer blackjack experience that doesn’t seek to shake things up in major ways. However, the video, audio, and presentation quality are all definitely up to par. The visuals are crisp, clear, and in full HD, streaming from a tasteful, non-flashy studio. Thumbs up so far.
Of course, OnAir still needed to find a way to stand out – and quality-of-life features seem to be their weapon of choice. Some interesting features have been implemented to make your experience as a player a bit smoother and more enjoyable. We’ll get to those in the special features section of this OnAir Entertainment Live Blackjack Review. For now, let’s stick to the basics.
Those of you familiar with live dealer blackjack will have no issues figuring out how to play live blackjack by OnAir Entertainment. Simply find an available table, click on it, and select one of the available seats.
Note that you can also pick multiple seats at a time, where available. If you’re currently not able to find an available spot, don’t worry! You can also play OnAir Entertainment Blackjack live using the Bet Behind feature.
Once you’ve taken a seat, you’ll need to wait for the beginning of a round. There’s a 15-second betting period between each round, though this can be skipped if all players agree. Pick your stake and put it on the main bet section of the table. You can also choose to put a stake down for one of the side bets at this time.
The dealer will hand 2 cards to every player and 2 to themselves, one of which is face-down. Using the options to hit for more cards, stand for refusing cards, splitting, and doubling, your job is to get as close to 21 without going over. Specifically, you’ll need to be closer than the dealer. All cards count as their face value, and all 10+ cards count as 10. Ace counts as 1 or 11 – whichever is best.
Live Blackjack by OnAir Entertainment uses fairly standard rules. The dealer must draw to 16 but stand on 17. You can only split once but can split any two cards of the same value, including Aces. Doubling down is also allowed on any hand, but you’ll only receive one card after that.
The biggest concern for reviewing live dealer blackjack payouts is whether the returns for a natural blackjack are 3:2. We’re happy to say that’s the case here and OnAir has avoided crippling their product.
The other OnAir Live Blackjack payouts are all industry-standard. We’ve seen some other live blackjack games implement a 9:1 reward for all 21+3 wins, though, which comes with a better RTP rate. The difference is minor at best, though, and isn’t something most players should concern themselves with.

Let’s quickly grow through some additional OnAir Blackjack features.
First of all, the tables come with a set of side bets that are probably familiar to most of you by now. Here’s a quick explanation of what they do, exactly.
Besides these, there are several features in Live Blackjack by OnAir that serve to make your life a little easier. The first is the option to make a “pre-decision.” This allows you to make your call before the dealer gets to you. The point is kind of moot if you’re alone at the table, but making an early call makes the rounds go by faster.
Once the round ends and the 15-second betting period begins, you can also vote to Deal Now. If all currently active players select this option, the wagering time ends and the dealer will immediately carry on with the round.
