Evolution revealed some exciting upcoming titles in their 2022 release schedule, and so did its subsidiary Ezugi. Apparently, Ezugi will be breaking new ground by providing an interesting new way to play roulette online.
Let’s get one thing straight from the get-go. This is not a live dealer casino game. Not in the classic sense, anyway. Instead, Ezugi uses a combination of cinematography and random number generation to simulate the experience of playing live casino roulette. It’s all an illusion – but it’s a pretty good illusion, it seems.
It all reminds us of the First Person series by Ezugi’s parent company, Evolution. It also offers the same kind of appeal – all the perks of playing non-live roulette with the excitement of live tables.
The premise is quite simple. You place bets as you usually would in a live casino roulette game, betting period and all. However, there’s no actual dealer nor roulette wheel there. The “dealer’s” comments and announcements are simply pre-recorded video messages. There appears to be a large pool of such messages available, so don’t worry about hearing the same ones over and over again.
The same is true for the roulette wheel you see spinning. The outcome of the EZ Roulette game is determined by a computer randomly generating numbers. Essentially, the footage of the wheel and everything else is just there for flavor.
However, the game overall plays much like the standard Ezugi Live Roulette. The UI is the same, for example, which is handy if you’re familiar with this software provider’s earlier work. The switch to RNG also comes with a few perks, which we’ll discuss later in this EZ Roulette review.
As we mentioned previously, Ezugi EZ Dealer Roulette looks and plays exactly like a live casino roulette game. That’s not too strange to read on LiveCasinos.com, but most RNG online roulette games don’t work that way.
For starters, EZ Dealer roulette comes with a betting timer of around 15 seconds. It’s strange that Ezugi implemented this wager period in the first place, but it does end up emulating live tables more closely. EZ Dealer Roulette by Ezugi uses a European-style roulette wheel with a single zero. That’s pretty much all you need to know about the payouts in this game. Everything else is standard, meaning the game can compete with even the best live roulette games out there.

Besides the whole concept of a life-like RNG roulette game, there’s not much else to set EZ Roulette apart from the rest. This’s why we’ll focus on this aspect of EZ Roulette and why you might choose it over regular live dealer roulette.
So, what are the benefits of playing RNG roulette?
Well, first of all, computer-generated results guarantee absolute fairness. Think of it this way –the outcome of a classic roulette wheel spin is not truly random. Where the ball lands depends on things like when, where, and how the croupier decided to drop it. Various things like the ball’s speed and the angle it was dropped in decide where it will end up. There’s no doubt that Ezugi EZ Dealer Roulette is a well-made product. However, there’s also no doubt that it is and will remain a niche product.
Online roulette players generally fall into one of two camps. They either love live dealer roulette, or regular RNG roulette (with the former group growing every year, we might add.) This game caters to those that fall somewhere in between. We’ve already covered the advantages of going full RNG.
However, we have to mention that a lot of the “magic” of live casino gaming doesn’t make the transition. EZ Roulette does everything to imitate the experience, but it remains exactly that – an imitation. That’s neither here nor there, but it’s something you have to be aware of if you want to play EZ roulette online for real money. When the chips are down, this is simply an RNG roulette game with fancy visuals.
