Let’s get one thing straight right out of the gate. Imperial Quest is identical to Dream Catcher in every way that really matters. The only real differences are purely visual and have no effect on the rules, payouts, RTP, or game flow. However, one or the other may be unavailable depending on where you live.
Dream Catcher was quite a success back when it was released, so it’s no big surprise that Evolution is introducing alternate versions. Imperial Quest takes on a vaguely Asian theme, with a Chinese-inspired background and studio. The presenters are also generally East Asian, but they still speak English. As such, we can’t really call this title a true localization, even though it was made specifically to appeal to Asian audiences.
Anyway, the Imperial Quest live casino game sticks with Dream Catcher’s simple but enjoyable gameplay. Most fans of the original game were drawn to how straightforward it is. Even complete beginners can easily pick it up and have some fun without worrying too much about special game rounds, rules, or complex mechanics. That said, the simplicity may seem a bit quaint compared to most modern live casino game shows such as Crazy Time or Sweet Bonanza Candyland.
Let’s continue out review by taking a look at how Imperial Quest works and what it takes to play it.
The UI features all necessary fields for placing bets and selecting an appropriate betting amount. There are six betting options i.e. the numbers 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 40. Each bet corresponds to several segments on the large wheel that dominates the screens. The number of the bet also represents its payout, but we’ll get to that later.
All you have to do is select the size of your stake using the chips at the bottom of the screen. Place it on the bet(s) you wish to make, and hit confirm. You can select as many different betting options as you want, but we wouldn’t recommend it because only one number can win per round.
Once the betting phase is over, the host will spin the wheel and then stand aside until it stops, revealing the winning number. If the wheel lands on a segment marked by the number you picked, you win!

Two additional types of segments appear on the wheel – a 2x multiplier and a 7x multiplier. These are not tied to a specific bet, but they can increase the payout of the subsequent bet.
For example, let’s say the presenter spins the wheel and it lands on 2x. Any bets you made in that round remain in place, and the wheel spins again. If this respin results in a winning bet, the payout is doubled (or multiplied by 7 for the 7x multiplier.)
Multiple multipliers can and do stack. For instance, hitting the 2x multiplier two times in a row results in a 4x multiplier. Theoretically, this can happen an unlimited amount of times. In practice, though, you would have to be extremely lucky to see two multipliers in a row.
The Imperial Quest casino game has one of the simplest payout systems around. If you play the 1 bet, you’ll win 1x your stake. If you play the 5 bet, you’ll win 5x your stake, and so on.
