7's On Fire Live: Our Review, How and Where to Play

Authentic Gaming by Authentic Gaming

7’s On Fire Live is a live casino game show created by Authentic Gaming. It combines classic live roulette with elements borrowed by the 7’s On Fire online slot from Light & Wonder. Although this is only Authentic’s second entertainment game, it’s a lot more creative and innovative than many roulette variants of its kind. However, it also starts much farther from the beloved gameplay of roulette, which isn’t ideal for purists. Nevertheless, with up to 98% RTP and payouts reaching up to 1,500x, it’s one of the more interesting live casino games released in 2024.

While this isn’t the first time someone has tried to blend roulette and slots together, Authentic’s attempt is fairly complicated and involves multiple ways to play. We certainly appreciate the innate creativity, but is 7’s On Fire Live actually enjoyable to play? That’s what this review is here to find out. We’ll explain how 7’s On Fire works and offer our impressions of how it plays and whether we can recommend it to our readers.

As a live casino game provider, Authentic Gaming has a reputation as a specialist in live roulette. The bulk of its portfolio consists of various roulette wheels covering multiple styles and variants. That said, Authentic also tends to keep things straightforward – classic rules and simple features that stick close to the original casino experience. So far, this provider has only one notable attempt to tamper with the standard rules – XL Roulette. It’s a solid game that simply improves the original ideas behind roulette games with multipliers, but doesn’t offer anything truly unique.

With that in mind, 7’s On Fire Live is a first for them. For starters, it doesn’t just add multipliers. Instead, it throws in bits and pieces of the highly successful 7’s On Fire slot. As a result, the whole game plays as some sort of cross between roulette and slots. There’s no quick or easy way to explain how this combination actually works, so we’ll leave that for the gameplay portion of this review.

As you probably expected, it’s streamed from a colorful, purpose-made studio that looks like it’s made for a game show. A presenter is usually (but not always) there to engage the audience, although the roulette wheel itself is automated and most of the other elements of the game are decided by computer RNG. The game looks quite nice in a seaside sunset sort of way, and the stream itself is nice and stable. That said, we’ve noticed that the presenters aren’t there after hours, which definitely takes away from the experience.

How to Play 7's On Fire Live

The game will appear confusing at first due to the many unfamiliar options. It will make more sense once you get the hang of it, though.

Every round follows these steps:

  • The betting period, in which players place bets
  • The single-reel slot machine spins and reveals 6 symbols
  • Symbol bets with 2 or more hits get a payout
  • Each symbol is also assigned a multiplier and a number from 0 to 36
  • The roulette wheel spins, calculating only Straight Up bets
  • If the ball lands on a number with a symbol on it, it wins the multiplier instead of the standard 12:1 payout
  • Also, Symbol bets on the symbol assigned to the winning number are multiplied by 3x

It seems complicated at first, but things are easier to understand once we note a few things.

7’s On Fire Live is essentially divided into two parts – the slot machine and the roulette wheel. Although these two halves seem connected at first glance, they’re largely separate and only influence one another in minor ways.

As such, we’ll go through both parts of the game one by one and explain how they work.

7’s On Fire Live – Slot

Bets for the mini-slot can be found on the right side of the interface. There are eight options in total – Lemons, Cherries, Oranges, Plums, Watermelons, Bells, Stars and 777s. Each of these betting positions corresponds to one of the symbols found on the slot machine.

To win one of these bets, the symbol you’ve bet on has to land twice in the upcoming round. If it does, you win a payout based on the value of your chosen symbol and the number of times it landed, as per the paytable.

The only exception is the 777 symbol. It can win with only one hit. It also appears in two versions – the gold one pays more than the blue one.

Moreover, payouts from the 7’s On Fire Live slot game can be increased in two ways:

  • If the roulette ball lands on a number that a winning symbol was applied to, the payout is 3x larger
  • Every game round has a small chance of being boosted. This increases all payouts from all winning bets in that particular round

7’s On Fire Live – Roulette

The roulette part of the game is equally simple on its own. Think of it this way – it’s a standard game of European roulette that only allows Straight-Up bets.

Many fans of roulette will probably be disappointed by this fact, and we were too. But it does make things simpler – you pick a number, and you win if the ball lands on that particular number.

In every round, six numbers are randomly selected and boosted by the slot symbols. Each of these symbols comes with a randomly determined multiplier. If your win a roulette bet on a number with a multiplier, you get the multiplier instead of the standard 12:1 payout.

Note that the bonus round can also boost roulette bets.

7's On Fire Live Review
  • 1
Just playing the roulette part of 7's On Fire Live is the statistically optimal way of doing things. However, this basically turns the game into roulette with only one bet and more-or-less standard multipliers
  • 2
However, this would also be a very costly way due to the low chance of success and an even lower chance of hitting multipliers
  • 3
With that in mind, we suggest also playing the low-value symbols such as Lemons and Cherries. They don't pay a lot, but win often and can keep your bankroll up while you're fishing for big multipliers

Payouts & RTP

We’ve already described the gist of how payouts work in 7’s On Fire Live, but here’s a quick recap:

  • Slot symbol bets win depending on which symbol you pick and how many times it hits. All payouts can be boosted by the Bonus round or a 3x multiplier if the roulette ball lands on the corresponding symbol
  • Roulette bets pay 12:1, but each can be increased by multipliers assigned to symbols in the slot portion of the game, up to a maximum of 777x . It can also be boosted by the Bonus round

Here is the full paytable for the slot symbols

Symbol 2 Symbols 3 Symbols 4 Symbols 5/6 Symbols
Lemon/Orange/Cherry/Plum 1x 3x 12x 140x
Watermelon 2x 6x 24x 380x
Bell/Star 6x 27x 500x 500x
777 One Blue: 4x One Gold: 55x

The RTP of 7’s On Fire Live depends on the bet you’re making. Roulette bets all have an RTP rate of 98%, which is the highest in the game. This high rate is also one of the bigger advantages of this game. If you’re not clear why, you should check out our guide to RTP in live casino games.

Symbol bets have varying RTP as follows:

  • Lemon/Orange/Cherry/Plum – 97.14%
  • Watermelon – 97.17%
  • Bell/Star – 97.22%
  • 777 – 97.32%

New to Live Roulette?

Our Verdict

Authentic tried to create a more “invovled” way to implement slots into live casino classics. While we appreciate parts of the effort, there are some glaring issues with the final product.

Firstly, the game’s two elements are way too stripped-down to stand on their own. You might have noticed that the slot part isn’t even an actual slot machine – just a series of symbols selected one after the other. The difference might be vague, but its felt during gameplay.

Similarly, the roulette part has been stripped of all of the betting options that make roulette so interesting and dynamic. You only get one type of bet, which tends to get old after a while.

Finally, these two parts barely interact with one another. The 3x multiplier on slot wins is the closest they get, but even that doesn’t require you to bet on both parts of 7’s On Fire Live. It’s just another random multiplier that can potentially improve the generally poor payouts of the game.

As a result, 7’s On Fire Live seems like a confused game that tries to do two things but ends up doing neither particularly well. However, things aren’t so bad that we would give it a negative rating, simply because the game is technically sound and actually offers fairly strong RTP.

However, pretty graphics aren’t a good enough reason to sink your time and money into a live dealer game, and neither is high RTP. 7’s On Fire Live is a bold move from Authentic, but it definitely needed more time on the drawing board.
