Fireball Roulette Live: Our Review, How and Where to Play

!DISCLOSURE
Evolution by Evolution

Fireball Roulette is a live casino game released by Evolution in 2025 that combines classic roulette gameplay with a special bonus round from the Lightning Storm game show. Most of Fireball Roulette works the same as other bonus roulette games, such as Lightning Roulette. Special bonuses are assigned to random numbers in every round, which players can access through Straight Up bets. As such, single-number wagers in Fireball Roulette have a reduced RTP of 97.00% but have a chance to win up to 2,500x the stake.

In most aspects, Fireball Roulette is simply an alternate version of Lightning Roulette. The only gameplay difference is that the multipliers can be higher but are more varied and volatile. Also, the size of these bonuses is determined by a minigame played live in the studio, which adds some excitement to the experience.

Lightning Roulette is widely seen as one of the most successful live casino games ever, so it’s no wonder Evolution is still trying to bank on its success.

It’s quite fair to call Fireball Roulette another Lightning Roulette alternative. The core concept of the game is largely the same: boosting Straight Up bets with potentially massive multipliers. However, this time around, these bonus payouts are determined by a special bonus round that was mostly borrowed from another game in the series – Lightning Storm. One of the several bonus rounds available in that game is dubbed Fireball, and it’s all about stacking random multipliers for highly volatile payouts.

Beyond that, however, this is simply a game of European Roulette. All bets except the Straight Up work as usual and offer industry-standard payouts. Of course, there’s something to be said about Evolution’s attractive studio and entertainment-style presentation, which the provider is widely known for. The game takes place in a stunning, purpose-built studio created around the theme of fire rather than Lightning.

Fireball Roulette vs. Lightning Roulette – Which is Better?

Comparing Fireball Roulette to Lightning Roulette is unavoidable, given the two games’ similar names and concepts.

They offer the same type of experience for most players. However, there are a few crucial differences that may help you pick one or the other. The table below outlines the key differences between Fireball Roulette and Lightning Roulette from Evolution, which should help you decide what to play.

Lightning Roulette Fireball Roulette
Bets with potential bonuses Straight Up only Straight Up only
Bonus numbers 1-5 3-7
Base Straight Up payout 29:1 25:1
Max multiplier 500x 2,500x
RTP 97.10-97.30% 97.00-97.30%
Multipliers determined by RNG Fireball minigame, physical ball and pockets

Personally, we find Fireball Roulette to be more exciting because of its lack of RNG and higher win potential. However, Lightning Roulette still offers a better RTP and quicker rounds, so it’s a valid choice as well.

How to Play Fireball Roulette

The base game follows a familiar loop that will be familiar to anyone with any knowledge of live roulette. If you need to brush up on the basics, check out our roulette tutorial for a more comprehensive guide.

You have around 15 seconds to place your bets between each round. Use the chips to select the size of your stake, then place them on the betting grid to make a wager.

Fireball Roulette offers all standard roulette bets, including both Inside and Outside wagers. However, only Straight Up (bets on a single number) can qualify players for the bonus round. On the other hand, they offer a base payout of 25:1, which is considerably lower than the standard 35:1.

Additionally, players can place sector bets using the racetrack view on the right side of the screen. Sector bets are just combinations of standard wagers, which means many of them can be used to qualify for the bonus round.

Once the betting period ends, the game moves on to the next stage – determining the Bonus Numbers.

Bonus Numbers

Once the betting period ends, a slot machine with a single reel behind the presenter spins to reveal a number between 3 and 7. This determines how many Bonus Numbers will appear in the current round.

3-7 numbers on the betting grid are randomly selected based on the results of the slot machine. These numbers are designated as Bonus Numbers for the current round, and they can be identified by glowing orange lava.

These numbers are the key to participating in the Fireball Roulette bonus round. If you have an active Straight-Up bet on a Bonus Number and your bet wins, you get to take part in the resulting bonus round.

Sometimes, Bonus Numbers are also assigned a random multiplier ranging from 2x to 20x. If you enter the Bonus game using a bet on a multiplied number, the total payout of the Bonus round is multiplied by the displayed amount.

Fireball Roulette Bonus Round

All players with winning Straight Up bets on a Bonus Number participate in the bonus round.

The bonus payout is determined by a physical ball dropped into an enclosure, which we found to be a nice touch. Finally, a live roulette game with multipliers that does not rely on RNG at all!

The enclosure is a square-shaped area filled with 149 pockets containing two types of multipliers: Regular and Double multipliers.

The ball eventually lands in one of these pockets:

  • If that pocket contains a Regular multiplier, that multiplier is your payout for the round
  • If the ball lands on a Double multiplier, all multipliers on the prize grid are doubled in value, and the ball is launched again

The ball can land on a Double multiplier pocket several times in a row, in which case all Regular multipliers on the grid keep being doubled over and over again. This can continue until all regular multipliers on the grid reach the maximum of 2,500x. Whenever this happens, all Double multiplier pockets are turned into Regular multipliers of 2,500x.

Fireball Roulette Strategy

Like most games of this type, Fireball Roulette is a game of chance. You can’t directly do anything to increase your chances of winning, so there is technically no best strategy to win Fireball Roulette.

However, the whole point of the game is to try and win big multipliers through the round. Otherwise, you might as well play on any other roulette table. As such, you should include one or more Straight Up bets in every round.

Sector Betting Strategy

If you want a more aggressive strategy, we recommend trying to cover sections of the wheel using only Straight Up bets.

The exact number of Straight Up bets placed in every round can be adapted to fit your strategy. The more bets you place, the higher your chances of entering a Bonus Round. However, placing too many bets will quickly drain your bankroll, so you have to be careful to balance coverage vs. spending.

Most classic Sector Bets are not suitable for Fireball Roulette because they include Split and other Inside bets. That’s why we recommend betting on Neighbors.

3-10 Straight Up bets is the recommended number. However, note that this is an aggressive strategy even with only 3 bets, so start with smaller stakes to prevent overspending.

Two-Sided Bets Strategy

If you want a more balanced approach that’s safer for your bankroll, we recommend mixing in some Outside bets. Although they can’t qualify you for the bonus round, their high probability of winning will give you a steady source of income and keep your bankroll topped up.

Combine an even-money bet with one or more Straight Up wagers to get the best of both worlds. For example:

  • Split your total stake into 6 units
  • Place 3 units on Red or Black
  • Place 1 unit each on 3 Straight Up bets of your choice

Using this strategy, you have a roughly 50% chance to break even in every round by winning Red or Black. However, you still have a shot at winning a bonus round as well.

You can add more Straight Up bets to increase your chances of qualifying for the bonus. However, we recommend also increasing the stake for the “safety” bet in order to keep your per-round expenses to a minimum.

Pros and Cons of Live Fortune Roulette

Pros Cons

✅ Big payout potential (up to 2,500x)

✅ Fully live, including the Fireball bonus round

✅ Bonus round can offer varied rewards, going up to 2,500x

✅ Potential for ever greater rewards through Bonus Number multipliers

✅ Professional and charismatic presenters

✅ Racetrack betting area with advanced UI features

✅ European roulette wheel offers 97.30% RTP for most bets

✅ Live chat for easier communication

❌ Higher volatility

❌ 97.00% RTP for Straight Up bets, which is lower than in many comparable games

❌ Most bonus round rewards are in the 50-100x range

❌ Lower payouts for non-multiplied Inside bets than in the standard European Roulette

Fireball Roulette Payouts

Most bets in Fireball Roulette Live pay their usual rewards, which are standard across the industry for European wheels. As noted above, the only exception is single-number Straight Up bets that pay 25:1 instead of the usual 35:1.

However, straight-up bets have a chance to win huge multipliers via the bonus round. These multipliers can range from 50x to 2,500x, which makes Fireball Roulette notably more volatile than most roulette games.

Bet Numbers Covered Payout Win Probability
Inside Bets
Straight Up 1 number 25:1 – 2,499:1 2.7%
Split 2 numbers 17:1 5.3%
Street 3 numbers 11:1 7.9%
Corner 4 numbers 8:1 10.5%
Line 6 numbers 5:1 15.8%
Outside Bets
Dozen/Column 12 numbers 2:1 32.4%
Red/Black/Even/Odd/1-18/19-36 18 numbers 1:1 48.6%

RTP & House Edge

The RTP of most bets in Fireball Roulette is 97.30%. This is the standard rate for most live casino roulette games with a European Wheel. It compares favourably to American-style wheels, but it’s otherwise an unimpressive figure.

Straight Up bets, which are the only wagers eligible for multipliers, have an RTP of 97.00%, or a House Edge of 3%. This is less than what you would get with most comparable games, which is a shame. However, the RTP is not low enough to dissuade us from making single-number bets, even though we wish it were a bit higher – or at least higher than in Lightning Roulette.

New to Live Roulette?

Interface & Usability

The betting interface is identical to the one you would find in any Evolution-made roulette game. It’s fairly standard fare for the live casino industry, with a classic betting grid and racetrack view.

This also means you get the usual access to result histories and statistics. This info is not outwardly useful, but it can offer some insight into high likely you are to win multipliers and how big those multipliers tend to be. In our experience, most bonus rounds end somewhere in the 50-100x range. While expected, this fact dulls the excitement of the bonus round a bit.

The only other addition to the interface worth mentioning is the lava indicators for bonus numbers. These numbers are clearly highlighted whenever they’re selected, leaving no doubt as to whether you’ll qualify for a bonus round or not.

Graphics & Presentation

Besides the bonus round, Fireball Roulette’s blazing studio is probably its most notable feature. As the game’s name implies, the visuals are all based around the theme of fire, similarly how Lightning Roulette is based on lightning. It’s a fun look for a casino, though it does remind us of Playtech’s Mega Fire Blaze Roulette a bit too much.

Still, we have to commend Evolution for the effort and attention to detail. We’ve come to expect all Evo games to look stunning, but Fireball Roulette is easily their best showing in recent years. Though flashy, the visual effects are never overbearing or distracting, which is not an easy thing to get right.

As expected, the game is streamed 24/7 in full HD, completing the visual feast. We never encountered any bugs or glitches during our time with Fireball Roulette, so there are no issues on the technical side of things either.

Live Dealer Experience

One of our favourite details about Evolution Fireball Roulette is that every single element is played using real, physical objects. The roulette wheel itself is an automatic one, which means it shoots out a ball on its own instead of having the dealer drop it. Still, it’s a real ball and a real wheel, which is what we love about live dealer games in the first place.

Even more interestingly, the Fireball bonus round actually uses real studio elements as well. That’s a very rare sight when it comes to bonus elements in live casino game shows, and we have to say that we loved it. In fact, it makes us wonder why other roulette games with multipliers don’t do something similar.

Either way, the game is presented by Evolution’s well-trained and professional presenters, which should come as no surprise. All of these elements add up to offer an impressive live dealer experience, which is easily one of the game’s strongest points.

Languages

  • Currently, the only available Fireball Roulette game is presented entirely in English.
  • However, the options menu allows you to change the language of in-game text. Language options include English, Arabic, Albanian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and more.

Our Verdict of Fireball Roulette

Fireball Roulette does exactly what it says on the tin, so to speak. It takes the concept of Lightning Roulette and replaces typical multipliers with an exciting bonus round.

To be frank, it’s not the most original of ideas. Especially considering the bonus round itself was also taken wholesale from Lightning Storm. However, both of these ideas work in practice and are beloved by players, so it should come as no surprise that combining them creates a fun game.

All in all, we have nothing but praise for the game’s mechanics and player experience. The game’s biggest advantages are the exciting bonus round, the high potential for big winnings, and the fact that it’s all determined live from a studio.

The only real downside is that Straight Up bets offer a disappointing RTP of just 97%. It’s not catastrophically low, but we wish Evo at least decided to match the 97.10% from Lightning Roulette.

Either way, we’re confident fans of roulette games with multipliers will enjoy Fireball Roulette quite a lot. It takes some tried-and-true concepts and presents them in a new and interesting way, which is a great recipe for live casino games.

How We Rate Live Roulette Games

Our game reviews and ratings are based on a strict set of standards. These standards were developed over many years of playing and analyzing live dealer games of all sorts. Here are some of the key factors we consider before giving our recommendation:

  • Graphics & Stream Quality – Although visuals are not the most important factor, they certainly matter. Good-looking games create a better and more immersive atmosphere. Moreover, the game’s graphics can set it apart from the competition.
  • UI and User-Friendliness – Well-designed games have intuitive interfaces that are easy to use and access. Our reviews also consider any additional UI elements such as betting options, performance settings, stats and histories, and more.
  • Payouts & RTP – How much your bets win is crucial for determining a casino game’s quality. A higher RTP is always better for us as players, making RTP one of the most objective ways to rate how good a particular game is.
  • Gameplay – This refers to how the game actually plays – whether it’s exciting, fun, engaging, and whether we’ve actually enjoyed playing it. This is extremely important for unique products such as Fireball Roulette.
  • Extra Features – This refers to any added features such as additional bonuses, multipliers, and UI elements.
  • Platform compatibility – We also rate how well a game performs on mobile devices, apps, etc.
  • Localization and Native-speaking Tables – Games with a lot of language options are more accessible to international audiences, which is why we consider such features as well.
