How to play Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker
Combining the elements of Evolution’s two earlier releases, Live Casino Hold’em and Live Ultimate Texas Hold’em, Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker is a mobile compatible, progressive jackpot variant with a theoretical return to player calculated at 99.47% on a total bet, 97.96% on Ante, 91.46% on Bonus bets and finally, 81.84% on The First 5 Progressive Jackpot.
The round starts with the player placing the mandatory Ante bet. There are also two optional side bets – Bonus bet and Progressive bet – which pay regardless of the main bet outcome. After the player submits the Ante, the cards are dealt face up for the player and face down for the dealer. The player is then faced with the decision of either folding the hand or playing it. Depending on the dealt cards, the player can increase the bet and proceed with the game. Side bets are independent of the main stake and they will be settled separately.
For the players that decide to continue with the game, the dealer deals 3 Flop cards facing upwards. At this point, the players must decide whether or not they will place a new bet in the amount of the original Ante or opt for Check option and stay in the game. At that point, the Turn card is dealt, leading to the third and final decision – placing a new bet or selecting the Check option. The dealer then proceeds by drawing the River card face up and revealing his cards. Once that happens, there are three possible outcomes:
- Dealer wins – if the dealer ends up with the strongest hand, Ante and all the follow up bets are lost
- Dealer and Player hands are a tie – all the bets (Ante, Flop, Turn and River) are returned to the player; again, bonus bets are settled independently
- Player wins – all bets are paid at 1:1 ratio, including Ante bet, if the hand is Straight or Better. If not, the Ante bet is given back to the player
Texas Hold'em Bonus Poker payout table
Ante, Flop, Turn and River bets follow the standard payout table, paying even bets for a successful hand. Traditionally, bonus bets come at the much higher ratio, up to 1000:1. However, the betting limits are different for the side bets and the maximum amount that the player can wager is $250.
Bonus bets are paid for specific combinations between the Player’s and the Dealer’s first two dealt cards, as shown below:
A-A Dealer+Player | 1000:1 |
A-A Player | 30:1 |
Suited A-K | 25:1 |
Suited A-Q/A-J | 20:1 |
Unsuited A-K | 15:1 |
K-K/Q-Q/J-J | 10:1 |
Unsuited A-Q/A-J | 5:1 |
10-10 thru 2-2 | 3:1 |
Progressive side bet increases with every placed wager, adding 5% to the jackpot amount. The jackpot is shared between the players who hit a specific combination between their first 2 cards and 3 Flop cards. Royal flush is the highest value hand which will qualify the player for the main prize, while weaker hands such as Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight and Three of a Kind pay only a certain portion of the main amount.
