• What kind of training did you need to do and how long did it take before you could work as a live dealer?  

I had a 5-day training but after the third day I went live on camera for short sessions to get the feel of how to act in front of the camera. In the end, this is where you really get to learn how to be a good dealer. In the beginning, it can be very exciting and you will get a bit nervous. But after some time, you will learn more and get more confidence and you will get better and better.

• What is your favorite part of the job?  

I love entertaining people and being in front of the camera. It kind of gives you the feel of being important, like being a host of a show on television. And I must say, I have been to sets where they shoot television series and it looks a lot the same.

To give you an impression, of course we are live from a big studio. Inside that studio you can find small sets looking like a high end bar in Las Vegas, a Cricket themed set, a set ‘Art Deco’ style and I could go on and on.

• How do you think the live casino vertical is reshaping the entire casino industry?  

Of course because of the situation at the moment, people go on their phones faster, but even without the current situation, this is a trend that started a long time ago. In Live Casinos, you can find brand new shows and there is a lot of innovation. Simply said, there are a lot more games to be found online in comparison to land-based casinos and I understand that people like this.

• What is your advice for people who are thinking about becoming live dealers?  

Go for it! You will learn a lot about how to act in front of a camera and how to improvise. You will work with different people from all around the world and will learn about their culture and habits as well. And of course, online casinos are a huge business, which is only growing more with lots of opportunities.

• What do you like to do for fun in your leisure time when you’re not working as a live dealer?  

Last year I moved to Malta, So, I’m still enjoying all the things on the Island. I like to go out to the beach, have fun with friends and go out for drinks.
