For this very first interview, our team sat down with Klāvs, a 32-year-old from Riga, Latvia. Klāvs works as a live dealer with Evolution and, in this article, he spoke about his favorite games, his favorite part of the job and more.

To kick things off, we are interested to learn what games do you operate?

I mostly operate on one of the most fun and exciting games – Crazy Time. But to be honest, I am familiar with the majority of Live Casino games that Evolution offers, from every kind of Blackjack to every single Poker, Roulette, and Game Show.

What would you say your favorite Evolution table/game is and why?

My favorite game to operate… hmmmm…. this is a tough one…

I enjoy every game that I work on…Crazy Time studio is like a second home to me hahaha! Then again, I am in love with Craps too…not only with the game itself but with the atmosphere that is created right there in the studio, even down to what you can imagine the scent of the era to be like in which the game was first created, which I love. It’s like a place fit for gentlemen, especially for the dealer…

How did you decide to become a live casino dealer?

After my friend and I sold our merchandise business, I decided to try something new. At a time when I was searching for new opportunities in my life, I saw an advertisement that Evolution was searching for Game Presenters, as well known as dealers. I checked some of the videos that I could find on the internet to see how it looks and thought to myself, why not? It looks fun. I sent the application off, I attended all the interviews, and boom.

What is your favorite part of the job?

Definitely that I can work night shifts, so I can attend to my other duties besides Evolution.

And the feeling that you are a part of something bigger, more than just a game.

Another aspect of the job that I love is when there are big multipliers in the game. When players hit big, that’s the feeling of joy mixed with an adrenaline rush, something you can only find working at Evolution. That moment of “YES! WE DID IT! BOOM”.

How do you think the live casino is reshaping the entire casino industry?

I will say that it shook the entire casino world. Just imagine at the start you could play the most famous card games, and Roulette just by sitting at home and drinking coffee, but today you can play so many things in so many ways, original card games, game shows, dice games and so much more.

Evolution has reshaped the whole industry that’s for sure. I remember that at the start people didn’t have much trust in casinos, but that changed when live casinos proved that they can assist players at any time and any case, provide fast transfer of payouts. Now every game that your heart desires is at your fingertips, starting from card games, dice games, and game shows, and all in the comfort of your home, or anywhere else because online casino games can be played from the phone, tablet, personal computer. Can you tell me one thing? Can players play Dream Catcher, MONOPOLY Live or Crazy Time in land-based casinos? I guess not. One of the best parts of Live Casino is that we keep going, we continue to bring new games that bring more entertainment and fun to the industry. In my opinion, there are no boundaries for creativity for Evolution and for the Live Casino industry as a whole.

What is your advice for people who are thinking about becoming live dealers?

Well buckle up this will be one of the best rides of your life, every day is a little bit different, full of fun moments, great colleagues, that might become your friends for life. But the best advice is to be yourself, don’t play only for the camera. Be yourself and believe me – you will succeed.
