With more players worldwide opting for live online roulette, most providers nowadays have non-English variants of their most popular titles. Evolution fully embraced this idea early on, with options for many languages. Most such options were focused purely on the European market, though, such as variants in German or even Finnish.
All of that’s about to change, however. Evolution recently announced three more localized versions of their live roulette game – Hindi, Brazilian, and Greek.
What are Evolution Native Speaking Roulettes?
Put simply, they are variants of Evolution Live Roulette games in languages other than English. Yes, we are aware that naming them “native” is a strange choice on Evolution’s part. Firstly, English is the native language for the majority of Evolution’s clientele – so aren’t all of these games Native speaking?
That’s beside the point, though. More importantly, Evolution is committed to bringing some of the best live dealer games to a rapidly expanding audience. Though most people who are into online gambling have at least a passing knowledge of English (enough to enjoy a spin of roulette, anyway), this is still a big step towards becoming even more accessible!
For some, enjoying their favourite games in their native language adds that extra bit of immersion. Occasionally, it may just be enough to help you forget you might be on the other side of the planet.
So, which Evolution live dealer games are available in other languages? Currently, only the most popular releases can qualify to get a specialised language stream. This makes a lot of sense – streaming in a language other than English severely limits the possible customer base. For now, all native speaking games released were variants of simple live European roulette.
Some exceptions do exist, mind you. For example, the ever-popular Lightning Roulette has two localized versions – Lightning Roulette Italia and Ruleta Relámpago en Vivo.
Before the new releases we’ll get to in a second, Native Speaking Roulette by Evolution was available in these languages:
- Italian
- Swedish
- German
- Russian
- Danish
- French
- Flemish
- Turkish
- Arabic
- Norwegian
- Spanish
- Finish
- Japanese
There are also some casino-specific offers of different top casino games. For instance, some Russian casinos have access to specialised Blackjack tables in Russian. These can only be found with some of Evolution’s partners, however.
Latest Evolution non-English Roulette Tables
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s take a look at how they’ve expanded this list. You can now play Native Speaking Live Roulette in three additional languages – Hindi, Brazilian Portuguese, and Greek.
Evolution Hindi Roulette
Hindi is the third largest language in the world by the number of speakers, so this shouldn’t be a surprise. Moreover, India is one of the world’s fastest-growing markets for online gambling. Actually, Evolution is a bit late to the party compared to some competitors.
This version was the first on this list to go live on November 6. This means that it will be widely available by the time this article is published. It features a studio vaguely inspired by traditional Indian décor. We’re kind of used to seeing this with live Andar Bahar and/or Teen Patti games. That said, Evolution is yet to take a crack at products specific to Indian gamers.
Gameplay-wise, it’s no different from any other Evolution European roulette wheel. Needless to say, the dealers will speak in Hindi, and the UI has been fully translated. The only obvious downside is that it won’t be available 24/7 the way most top live casino games are. Instead, it follows a 12-hour schedule, from 10:00 to 22:00 CET.
This last decision is baffling considering most of India is in a completely different time zone – Standard Indian Time +5. As such, for most people actually living in India, the working hours are between 15:00 and 3:00.
Evolution Brazilian Roulette
The next big announcement is the addition of a Brazilian language Native Speaking Roulette game. Obviously, it uses a dialect of Portuguese, but Evolution has chosen to focus the game on the much larger market of Brazil. To our knowledge, this is the first such large-scale project outside of specialised local Brazilian casinos.
Like before, the gameplay is rather straightforward, with most of the changes focused on the presentation. It’s your typical European roulette wheel with little in the way of extra features or similar fluff. It’s set against the backdrop of the famous landmark Christ the Redeemer above Rio. The rest of the studio is a colourful mix of Amazon flora and similar details.
The Brazilian Roulette game is set to go live in January 2021. Thankfully, this one will be available 24/7 from then on.
Evolution Greek Roulette
This last choice is interesting – most game providers don’t consider the Greek language big enough for a dedicated stream. To our knowledge, this makes Evolution’s take the only Greek-language live roulette game around.
If you’ve been paying attention to the previous two games, you’ll already know most of the info. The gameplay was largely unaffected, with a typical European wheel and standard bet table. Unsurprisingly, the whole thing was given a sky-blue and white makeover. The background this time is a still of the Greek seaside, which gives the whole experience a bright, airy, and relaxed atmosphere.
The live roulette in Greek is set to go live on the 25th of January 2021. It will also be available 24/7.
Conclusion
This batch of localised live roulette games was quite exciting. Hindi was an obvious choice, but we’re enjoying the fact that an industry leader like Evolution is attempting to appeal to relatively niche markets like Greece. At this point, it’s hard to guess which other languages we’ll see from them in the future, so stay tuned!
