Bet Stacker Blackjack is a variant of the game that attempts to shake things up with random multipliers. This is not the first time we see Evolution try something like this. Most famously, they released Lightning Blackjack a few years ago as a sort of spin-off of their mega-successful Lightning Roulette. While interesting in its design and unique in terms of gameplay, Lightning Blackjack introduced mechanics that connect several rounds of the game via special bonus multipliers. This didn’t seem to sit well with a lot of players who are used to rounds of blackjack being complete, self-contained experiences.

Evolution Bet Stacker Blackjack takes a different approach. In this game, multipliers only affect the current round, and they’re determined by a special card that’s randomly selected at the beginning. If one of your first two cards matches this special card, your bet can be increased by up to 100%. However, these bonus features are mandatory. All bets in Bet Stacker Blackjack have a chance to be increased, but all of them also have a mandatory 10% fee.

The rest of the game is very similar to several earlier Evolution-made products. The game essentially uses the same studios and tables as their standard Live Blackjack with nearly identical table rules. How to Play Bet Stacker Blackjack

Most of the rules and mechanics of this game will be very familiar to anyone who knows how to play live blackjack. If you’re not, we recommend starting with our live blackjack tutorial to gain a basic understanding of the game.

Players have access to all of the usual moves and decisions. You can Hit, Stand, Split, and Double as usual, with the goal of your hand total reaching as close to 21 as possible. If your total card value is closer to 21 than the dealer’s at the end of the round, you win a standard 1:1 payout. Blackjack pays 3:2 as usual, and insurance is still an option if the dealer draws an Ace.

Other table rules are also identical to standard Evolution tables. This means that the dealer must stand on Soft 17 and Splitting is allowed for any pair, including Aces. You can Double any hand total, after which you’re forced to draw a single additional card. All of these rules are quite player-friendly and result in the game’s high RTP.

However, its main distinguishing feature is the bonus multiplier, so let’s focus on that.

Bet Stacker Bonus

The bonus feature of Bet Stacker Blackjack is its main defining element. Understanding how it works will mean you have the game as a whole figured out. So how does it work?

Once the betting period ends in any given round, the game randomly generates a card and a bonus. The card does not have a suit, but it can be any card value from a standard deck of cards, ranging from 2 to Ace. The bonus can be either 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% of your main bet.

If one of your initial two cards matches this bonus card, your bet is increased by the displayed amount. For example, increasing a $10 with a 50% bonus results in a total main bet of $15. Importantly, this new amount is only used for the purposes of calculating payouts. You don’t have to put up any additional money once the round begins – it’s just a direct bonus to your returns.

The only exception is if you choose to Double or Split your hand. In that case, you’ll have to put up both your initial stake and the bonus amount. However, if you Split a hand that’s affected with a bonus, the bonus is evenly divided between the two new hands. If you draw a pair and both your cards match the bonus card, your bet is increased twice.

In exchange, all main bets in Bet Stacker Blackjack come with a 10% fee. The fee is mandatory, but it only affects the initial main bet. Doubling and Splitting is unaffected by this fee, and so are the side bets.

Step-by-Step Guide

To further illustrate how Bet Stacker Blackjack works in practice, we’ll go through a typical round step by step.

  • During the betting period, players can place Main and Side bets. The Main bet has a mandatory 10% fee.
  • Once the betting period ends, the game reveals a single standard card – 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K or Ace. The card is assigned a value that can be 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.
  • The dealer then deals 2 cards each to every player and 2 to themselves. If the rank of one or more of your two cards matches the special bonus card, your bet is boosted by the displayed amount. For example, if you get a 100% bonus, any payouts resulting from the main bet are essentially doubled.
  •  The round then progresses as usual in blackjack. Players can Hit, Double, or Split until they decide to Stand or their hand total goes over 21.
  • Winners are also determined using standard rules. If your hand total is closer to 21 than the dealer’s, you win. However, if you Hit and go over 21, you instantly lose.
  • The bonus card is reset at the end of the round and a new one is selected after the following betting period.

Side Bets

You can also play four optional side bets in Bet Stacker Blackjack. These wagers win or lose independently of the main bet and cannot be affected by the bonus multipliers.

The side bets include:

  • 21+3 – A common blackjack side bet that uses your first 2 cards and the dealer’s up-card to make three-card poker hands. Stronger hands give better payouts, up to 100:1 for three-of-a-kind.
  • Pairs – Another common side bet that wins if your first two cards are of the same rank. Pays 8:1 for a regular pair and 25:1 for a pair of the same suit.
  • BustIt – This wager wins if the dealer busts by going over 21. The more cards the dealer has in their hand when they bust, the better the payout, ranging from 1:1 to 250:1.
  • Hot3 – This bet adds up the value of your first two cards and the dealer’s up-card. It wins if the total combined value of these cards is 19, 20, or 21, paying up to 20:1. You also get a special 100:1 reward if all three of these cards are 7s.

Note that the BustIt and Hot3 side bets are only available on Infinite Bet Stacker Blackjack tables. Regular, non-Infinite tables only offer Pairs and 21+3.

Infinite Bet Stacker Blackjack is essentially a one-to-many variant of Bet Stacker Blackjack. Fans of Evolution games have already seen such mechanics in games like Infinite Fun Fun 21 Blackjack or Infinite Free Bet Blackjack. If you don’t know what one-to-many means, we’ll explain quickly.

One-to-many setups of blackjack games allow an infinite number of players to play the game at the same time. In contrast, the standard blackjack layout only allows for up to 7 players per table.

The idea is that everyone is sharing the same hand and cards. When the shared hand draws a 5, everyone draws a 5. However, player decisions are still completely independent. For instance, if you choose to Stand, your hand total counts as its current value. Other players may continue drawing cards, but your game will be completely unaffected by them.

Infinite Bet Stacker Blackjack also has the unique advantage of accepting lower minimum bets. The minimum wager in Infinite Bet Stacker Blackjack is just $1, as opposed to the $5-20 minimums on regular tables.

Lastly, Infinite tables allow players to make BustIt and Hot3 side bets. Regular tables only offer Pairs and 21+3.

As far as we can tell, it’s streamed from the same studio as standard Evolution blackjack. As far as blackjack variants go, this one is relatively “subtle.” First of all, the fee of 10% is relatively low – much lower than in comparable games like Lightning Blackjack. Secondly, the bonuses it provides are relatively small. The most you can do is double your bet value, which is not nearly as impressive as massive multipliers we often see in modern live casino games.

However, as a result, the game’s math model is quite strong. 99.47% RTP is good by any measure, even when compared to classic blackjack. This means that you can expect a very good return in the long term – especially if you’re using basic blackjack strategy.

Also, allowing players to enjoy both Infinite and regular versions of the game means they can tailor the experience to their needs and budget.

There are some downsides, of course. For example, it’s probably best to completely ignore the side bets. The game’s visuals are also a bit uninspired, but that may work for players who just want to play twenty-one without any unnecessary clutter of fanfare.
