Sports bettors and casino fans have a lot in common, but it often seems that the small difference between the two can never be crossed. If someone can do it, though, it’s Evolution. And that’s exactly what they’re trying to do with one of their 2022 original releases. Targeting the niche of football fans who play casino games, this dice game features unique gameplay and a lively presentation.
To be frank, though, this game only appeals to football fans with its theme and appearance. The studio has been made up to resemble a sportscast, and the rules do bear some resemblance to two clashing football teams. However, mechanically, Football Studio Dice resembles Bac Bo, another recent Evolution release. Essentially, it’s a game about predicting which set of 2 dice will get a higher result.
It’s also worth mentioning that Evolution also hosts Live Football Studio. Studio Dice is in many ways identical to that game, except it uses dice to determine the outcome instead of cards.
The game looks and plays great, which is to be expected from this software provider. However, the bets themselves obviously have very little resemblance to actual sports bets. As such, soccer fans are not the only ones that could find Football Studio Dice interesting. Check out the rules below to figure out whether you might want to play it.
Football Studio Dice plays a lot like baccarat, or maybe a dice-based game of Hi-Lo. Your goal is simply to predict the outcome of a quick, simple roll of 4 dice.
Before we begin, find the Football Studio Dice in the live casino lobby of the casino you’re playing in. You should be able to join the table any time you want – there are no limited seats or player limits.
There are three possible bets in Football Studio Dice: Home, Away, and Draw.
Your goal is to predict which of two sets of dice will have a higher total. The red side on the left is referred to as Home, while the blue side on the right is called Away, mirroring two sides of a football match.
You can also predict a Draw, though we don’t recommend it.
Use the chips to select the size of your stake, then click on the bet you wish to make to place it.
Once the betting period ends, all bets are locked in and the dice start to shake with the help of a special shaker.
Each side has two dice for a total of 4. These are further divided into the First Half at the top of the game table and the Second Half at the bottom. The dice at the top stop rolling first and display their results, while the dice at the bottom stop shaking a few seconds later. This is done to simulate the two-half structure of a football match.
However, the two halves do not impact the rules of Football Studio Dice in any way.
Whichever side has the highest two-dice total always wins. For example, if the red dice show 7 while the blue dice show 5, the red dice will always win regardless of how the score is split between the two red dice.
If the two sets of dice show the same total, the result is a Draw. In the case of a Draw, all Home and Away bets lose and only Draw bets win. Moreover, the Draw bet payout is massively increased if both sets of dice show 12.
The payout system in Evolution’s Football Studio Dice live casino game is very straightforward. If you bet on Home or Away and win, you win even money. Draw bets usually pay 8:1 but get a hefty 80:1 bonus if both sides end up rolling a 12. That’s pretty much all you have to remember.

According to official Evolution info, the RTP of Football Studio Dice is 97.75% if you make Home and Away bets. Draw bets have a much lower RTP of 95.68%, which is why we recommend that you avoid them.
Relative to other casino games, a 97.75% RTP is fairly strong. This makes the game better than almost all live roulette tables, for starters, though not quite strong enough to beat out blackjack or baccarat.

The Football Studio concept is the main thing that distinguishes this game from the competition. The dealers are generally knowledgeable about football, and their main job is to engage the audience. While Football Studio Dice is by no means a dull game, it’s difficult to say whether this title will gain any real traction in the live casino community. The game looks and plays great, but many football punters will find that this appreciation for football is skin-deep. It’s just a straightforward high-low casino dice game with sports commentary.

It would have been a fine game on its own, but the fact Bac Bo is available means that live casino players will always have a better option. As it stands, it’s merely a place for soccer fans to gather and talk while shooting some dice.
