Launched in January 2010, Blackjack Early Payout is played according to the optimal player strategy. This means that the house edge stands at a mere 0.5%. Players also have the option to take the early payout each time they would rather not follow the basic strategy. The gist here is simple – all decisions are made automatically according to blackjack basic strategy. However, this mechanic clashes with some principles of why people play blackjack. While all players are on equal footing, this means that it doesn’t matter that you took the time to learn the game.
As such, the target audience of Blackjack Early Payout by ViG is a bit unclear. It’s either for really lazy blackjack fans or beginners who can use help with winning blackjack strategies.
Before you even start playing you will be asked to select between low, standard and high betting limits. After you have made your choice, the game window will load. Simply select from five chip sizes and place your bets.
Seeing as the table can accommodate an unlimited number of players, you can always find a seat as well as place up to three wagers at a time. Three hands will be played at the table, and you can wager on the outcome for each of them. Technically, all players at the table share these same few cards. After your bet is down, the game will essentially play itself. It will Hit, Stand, Double, or Split according to optimal blackjack charts.
Some players may like this approach, others won’t. While you can rest assured that the games are played as well as can be, the loss of agency won’t sit well with many blackjack fans.
Given that the cards are dealt according to the basic strategy, you won’t be able to Hit when the strategy says Stand. However, you can always decide to take an early payout and end the round then and there. If you’re wondering how Early Payout works in Blackjack, there isn’t much to worry about.
This option simply ends the round before its natural conclusion. The amount you are paid depends on the context at the table – specifically, your cards and the dealer’s up-card. If you seem more likely to win than lose, you’ll get a profit. However, this return would be nowhere near the usual 1:1 payout.
Conversely, if you seem unlikely to win, the payout will be smaller than the initial stake. That way, you can cut your losses when things aren’t going your way.
The payouts in this game are easy to remember if nothing else. It’s all fairly standard, save for the fact the two side bets have fixed payout rates. Also, be aware of how early payouts work. They can offer anywhere from 0 to 1:1, depending on the cards on the table.

Under these rules, the RTP in Early Payout Blackjack is a solid 99.50%. Because of the use of basic strategy, you can rest assured that this is the house edge in almost all circumstances. The only exceptions are the side bets and Insurance. Perfect Pairs and Rummy offer 93.89%, and 95.86% RTP, respectively. As always, Insurance sits at under 89% and should be avoided most of the time.
