Though Ezugi already has a well-established range of live table games, lately they’ve been expanding into speciality products. With their bases covered in terms of classic options like live roulette or blackjack, their eyes turn to new ideas. Lucky 6 is one of these new live casino games, somewhat similar to hi-lo. It’s a rather simple game at heart, but there aren’t a lot of alternatives around. BetGames have a similar line, but that’s pretty much it.

Though the studio has an Indian-inspired look and feel, the high-quality stream is from Ezugi’s studio in Romania. The set is fairly simple as far as live-streamed casino games go, which is this software provider’s style.

On the other hand, the Ezugi Lucky 7 game boasts their signature user interface. It looks good, feels good, and offers plenty of information. You can see the main three bets in the middle of the screen, which are essentially just 3 options. The 4 different side bets are to the right, and players can place them even without the main bet. To the left, you’ll find statistical information and result history. If chasing trends is part of your Lucky 7 strategy, this information comes in handy.

At the top-right, you’ll find a few different screens. These include the live chat feature, sound controls, and video quality settings. We never encountered any issues with our Ezugi Lucky 7 review, but these are handy for slow internet connections.

How to Play Ezugi Lucky 7 Online

  • This game is as simple as online casino games can get. The main gist is that you’re trying to predict whether the next card will be higher or lower than 7. As such, your three main bets are 7 UP, 7 DOWN, and Lucky 7. The former two offer odds of 1:1, while the Lucky 7 boasts odds of 11:1.
  • There are a few things we should mention here. Firstly, the 8 decks in this game make it almost impossible to count cards. Unlike blackjack, the dealer only draws 1 card at a time. This means it can take quite a while to get through the whole shoe, though the game is fairly fast-paced.
  • Furthermore, almost all bets here are essentially a 50/50 coin toss. This makes Lucky 7 by Ezugi fertile grounds for staking plans such as the Martingale or Labouchere. Considering how straightforward the core gameplay is, relying on such a betting strategy might be wise.
  • The main game’s RTP is estimated at 92.31%. This is likely this title’s biggest release. Compared to most live dealer games, this return-to-player is atrocious. That said, some of the side bets do improve the overall impression. There are 4 total side bets in Ezugi’s Lucky 7 live casino game:
  • Predicts that the next card will have an odd-numbered value at odds of 0.8:1. 96.92% RTP.
  • The opposite of Odd, though there are more even cards in the game so it pays 1:1. RTP of 92.31%.
  • Red/Black. Predicts the colour of the next card’s suit at odds of 0.9:1. As such, it has an RTP rate of 95.0%.
  • As you can see, just betting on odds or red/black ends up having a better return than the main game. As we’ve already mentioned, at least you can only make side bets if you want.

Our Verdict of Live Lucky 7

The base experience of the Lucky 7 live casino game is quite decent. It’s a simple, fast-paced game that can be a nice break from the standard live casino fare. That said, we cannot feel comfortable recommending it due to the RTP rate. Live dealer games are a fairly competitive market in these terms. For instance, blackjack boasts an RTP of over 99%, and most roulette titles use the standard European 97.30%. Compared to these, Lucky 7 just feels unfriendly to the player (and the player’s bankroll.)

If you still want to give it a try, though, you could rely on some of the side bets. Still, we think that Ezugi needs to re-think their house edge model if they want Lucky 7 to catch on.
