Editor’s Note: Double Wheel Roulette Live used to have American-style roulette wheels with both 0 and 00 pockets. Thankfully, this was changed at some point to European-style wheels with a single zero, and thus a lower house edge.

This game uses a standard European-style wheel, which includes a single zero pocket. European wheels are generally considered superior to their American double-zero counterparts because they have a smaller house edge.
To place a bet, you need to select the size of the desired stake using the chips on the right side of the interface. Then, click on the betting positions on one of the two betting tables to place the corresponding wager.
Speaking of which, since Double Wheel Roulette uses two wheels, it also has two betting tables. Bets on one table are only active for the wheel that you see above it. For instance, if you put a Red bet on the left wheel, you will only win the bet if the ball lands on a Red pocket on the left wheel. Anything that happens on the right wheel is irrelevant for bets on the left wheel, and vice-versa.

The two wheels are not artificially synchronized in any way. Each wheel has its own betting period during which players can place bets which lasts for around 15 seconds after the ball stops moving on that particular wheel. Since the ball takes a different amount of time to stop moving every time you throw it, you’ll generally see the two wheels work in a separate “rhythm.” Sometimes the betting periods naturally overlap, but it’s a rare sight.

Sadly, the game doesn’t allow players to make Call bets. Otherwise known as Sector bets, this option allows players to quickly and easily target entire sections of the wheel. In live casino roulette, this is typically done using a special interface often called the Racetrack view. Since Double Wheel roulette lacks a racetrack view, you can only place Call bets manually.

As you can see, the second wheel doesn’t really change the rules or add any new options for players. It just means that the game is played faster since two wheels are running at the same time.

Double Wheel Roulette does exactly what it says on the tin – it plays roulette on two wheels. It should be easy to figure out whether you’ll enjoy something like that or not.
As for my impression, Authentic Gaming clearly achieved what it set out to do. The game certainly plays fast, and the two wheels give the gameplay experience a new sort of dynamic that you wouldn’t have otherwise.
The stream and presentation are also solid, which I’ve come to expect from Authentic. After all, this is one of the biggest roulette specialists in the industry, and most of their Devil’s Wheels look quite good. The game is also well-made from a technical standpoint with a stable stream and no stuttering or broken connections.
The only real issue I’ve found is that there’s no Racetrack view which makes Call bets difficult to place. However, very few players actually use this option, so I can’t call it a major problem.
That said, if you really wanted to juggle playing two roulette games at the same time, you could always just launch two games on separate tabs and knock yourself out. Sure, double-wheel roulette makes it easier to keep track of things, but there are no distinct advantages beyond that.
