Monopoly Big Baller: Our Review, How and Where to Play

!DISCLOSURE
Evolution by Evolution

Monopoly Big Baller is a popular offering by Evolution Gaming. This gaming company is well-known for producing live games, and especially game shows that work like Monopoly Big Baller Live.

Games like Lightning Storm, Crazy Pachinko, and Lightning Roulette are just a couple of examples. But, with so many popular casino games in this genre, it’s not unusual that this one would be popular as well. Evolution Gaming has a reputation for producing some of the best casino games in the industry, ranging from live games to slots and table games.

In many ways, this game is similar to Monopoly Live. Not only are both games live casino games with a game show feel to them, but both are also based on the popular board game Monopoly.

If you love live casino games with plenty of interactivity and have a preference for game shows, then this game might be for you. Let’s take a closer look.

If you’ve been keeping up with new live dealer casino games, you’re probably aware of the excitement-packed year Evolution has been having. Multiple flagship releases have recently hit this provider’s lobby. From Gold Bar Roulette to XXXTreme Lightning Roulette, Evolution doubled down on their innovative hit game shows.

There’s another big release coming out in Summer 2022, and it’s a sequel to the mega-successful Monopoly Live. Big Baller is a completely different game from the original Wheel-of-Fortune game show, though. The license for Hasbro’s classic board game is still around, but the core gameplay is based on bingo. Of course, the spectacular special features and augmented reality visuals are also around to make this game unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Monopoly Big Baller is a live dealer bingo-type game brimming with extra features and flashy mechanics. We can see that Mr Monopoly is back, though, in augmented reality and with visuals only Evolution could produce. The studio transports you to a 1920s-style barge and a virtual Monopoly Board used for bonus rounds. Some parts of the game will be familiar to those who played Monopoly Live. However, Big Baller is overall a unique experience that you have to try to truly understand.

Game Features

There are many excellent and attractive features to Monopoly Big Baller. Let’s take a quick look.

  • 3D Bonus Game – The 3D bonus game is the truly Monopoly-themed part of the game, featuring elements like chance cards and a monopoly game board (complete with GO, Community Chest, Jail and Super tax). To qualify for the bonus game, players need to draw three or four numbers marked for the bonus bet spot.
  • Augmented Reality Mr. Monopoly – When you get into the bonus game, an AR Mr. Monopoly will walk around the game board based on the number of steps your rolls give you.
  • Bingo-style Gameplay – The main game consists of a bingo-style setup where a host draws balls and calls out the numbers.
  • Multipliers – The game features an array of potential multipliers that can boost your payouts if you get them. Some of these apply randomly to your bingo cards. If Mr. Monopoly passes go during the bonus game, you can even multiply your multipliers.
  • Dice – During the bonus rounds, you get the opportunity to “roll dice” either three or five times, depending on which bonus card you get. The number of steps Mr. Monopoly takes depends on how much you get on the dice roll. Doubles give you an extra spin.

In essence, this is a fairly straightforward game. So, if you’ve been wondering about the Monopoly Big Baller rules, it works like this:

  1. Place your bets on bingo and bonus cards, including free spaces, chance cards, and bonus rounds.
  2. Wait for the host to draw numbers.
  3. Win prizes when you complete lines on the bingo cards and multipliers when you get into the bonus games or land chance cards.

It’s worth noting that the maximum payout for this game is $500,000.

Monopoly Big Baller vs. Monopoly Live

Many people think that because both of these games contain the word “Monopoly,” they’re very similar. While there are similarities between the two games, they’re also relatively unique.

When you play Monopoly Big Baller at a casino, it’s closer to a gameshow than anything else. It leans heavily on a bingo base, while Monopoly Live is closer to a variation on a Wheel of fortune.

Monopoly Live has a highly variable return to player (RTP) rate, which may drop down to as low as  91.3%, while the Monopoly Big Baller RTP comes in at around 96.1%.

Another place where they vary significantly is in terms of volatility. Monopoly Live has high volatility, while Monopoly Big Baller’s volatility is closer to Medium.

How to Play Monopoly Big Baller Live

The Evolution brand is synonymous with eye-catching live casino game shows, typically powered by big money wheels. It seems that there are quite enough of those, however, and the new Monopoly Live game will instead be powered like bingo. Or live casino keno, if you will. It seems the sequel is in gameplay more similar to Mega Ball than the original Monopoly.

Of course, during their 2022 game announcements, Evolution stressed a few important differences.

To play Monopoly Big Baller, you buy tickets like in normal player-vs-casino bingo. However, you can only buy up to 4 cards per round. The idea is for each of them to feel more important.

The cards are 5×5 grids of random numbers. The presenter will be in charge of a large ball drum, which will draw balls with numbers. The goal of Monopoly Big Baller is for the drum to draw the same numbers as the ones on your card(s). If you manage to get a line of 5 numbers as they appear on your card, you win! The more lines you have on a single card, the bigger the payout.

How To Play Monopoly Big Baller: Tips

  • Don’t bet more than 10% of your bankroll on a single round.
  • Try to split up your bankroll, so you have room for at least 25 rounds. This should help you stay in the game long enough to get into the swing of things.
  • Always bet more on Bingo cards than bonus cards.
  • If you manage to get a line on each bingo card using this strategy, you’ll break even. If you manage to snag a multiplier and a line on each bingo card, you’ll make a profit.
  • Don’t choose a single bonus round, but bet on both instead.

Step-by-step Guide for Monopoly Big Baller

1

Purchase Cards & Place Bets

You can purchase between one and four cards per round. All of them will randomly generate numbers between 1 and 60, spread out in a 5×5 grid. Each of these positions is called a cell and can hold either a number or a special mechanic.

There are two such mechanics, and you get to choose which one you start with.

  • Free Space cards have a guaranteed ‘free space’ in the middle of the card. These free spaces complete any lines they’re a part of, as long as you hit the remaining 4 numbers
  • Chance cards start with a guaranteed multiplier in the middle cell. It’s a typical number and functions as usual. However, any winning lines that contain the multiplier number have their winnings increased by 10x or 20x.

Note that you can toggle any card between these two types during the betting period. There’s a switch at the bottom right.

You can also purchase the 3 Rolls or 5 Rolls Bonus cards for a chance to participate in the bonus round. These two special cards have either 3 or 4 cells, respectively. If all of these numbers hit, the Monopoly Big Baller bonus round kicks off. Check out the Special Features section of this review for the details.

2

Random Multipliers and Free Spaces

The cards all start with one special cell, but there are more in store!

Once the betting period ends, Mr Monopoly pulls a lever and additional Free Spaces and Multipliers may appear on your cards. The more cards you have, the better your shot of profiting from this feature!

There are three types of multipliers in Monopoly Big Baller:

  • Standard multipliers simply increase the returns from any winning line they’re a part of by 10x or 20.
  • Line multipliers highlight an entire 5-number line on the card. If you manage to complete the entire line that round, the profit is increased by 20x or 50x.
  • Global multipliers affect the entire card. All winnings made using that card are increased by 2x or 3x.
3

Drawing Balls and Numbers

Finally, the round kicks off. The ball drum machine in the dedicated Evolution studio draws 20 out of the 60 balls inside.

Each is marked by a number from 1 to 60. If the number on a ball drawn matches a number on any of your cards, the game automatically ‘daubs’ them.

You can see the previously drawn numbers in the lower right corner of the screen. There is also a counter that keeps track of how many balls still need to be drawn.

If you complete one or more lines on a card, you win. The payout depends on the bet you placed on that particular card. Note that you can place a different stake on every card. The same applies to the two bonus cards.

Live Casinos Best Tips for Monopoly Big Baller
  • 1
We recommend spreading your stake enough to buy as many cards as possible instead of using bigger stakes for fewer cards. At least have all 4 basic cards every round - the Rolls cards are up for debate.
  • 2
The Bonus cards can also have Free Space cells randomly assigned to them, but not Multiplier cells.
  • 3
With a 100,000x maximum, there's no real limit to how high the prizes in the Bonus round will go. Don't expect it to be triggered all that often, though - especially not the 5 Rolls one.
  • 4
If both the 3 Rolls and 5 Rolls cards are completely filled out, two separate bonus rounds will launch after all 20 balls are drawn. You will participate in one, both, or none - depending on which Bonus cards you bought at the beginning.

Winning Strategy

If you’re looking for a Monopoly Big Baller strategy that can help you win your game, you’re in the right place. While we can’t tell you how to win Monopoly Big Baller, we can tell you about our favorite strategies for tipping the odds in our favor.

  • First, try to bet on all the bingo and bonus cards. Doing so will significantly increase your chances of getting full bingo lines.
  • It’s also a good idea to try and bet on at least three free space cards and a bingo card.
  • For every value of five that you play on bingo cards, play one on the bonus cards. So, if you’re betting $5 on each bingo card, that would mean betting $1 on the bonus card.

Interface

The Monopoly Big Baller interface is designed in such a way that it enhances the game considerably. From the background music to the continuing interaction with Mr. Monopoly, who has a very appropriate voice, it all helps the game to come together.

The bonus game also has many different bells and whistles and an incredible diversity of winning sound effects.

Another excellent characteristic of this game is that you can easily play it on any device. Thanks to its easy navigation, and the fact that it has a camera centered on the current ball at all times, you can always see what’s going on.

Even where rolls of the dice are concerned, a digital summary of the roll appears on the screen, so you know exactly where you stand. All of this to say that the game is generally vastly enjoyable, and the interface makes it easy to play. All the cards are visible at the bottom of the screen, and it’s easy to keep track of whether you’re winning.

The interface also translates well to mobile. If you prefer gambling from your iOS or Android device, you’ll certainly enjoy playing from any web-based browser. Simply log into your account from a mobile device.

Of course, you can also choose to gamble on a casino app, which will likely result in easier gameplay and better streaming quality. However, you should notice fairly little difference in the interface. Possibly with the exception of the screen size.

Payouts

You can find a full Monopoly Big Baller paytable below, such as it is. Essentially, a basic line in the game wins 2:1. These winnings can be further improved by having multipliers on the card.

Obviously, Chance cards with guaranteed multipliers are more likely to provide a bigger payout. They also have a higher ceiling in terms of the maximum payout in Monopoly Big Baller. However, Free Space cards are intrinsically more likely to win. It’s a matter of volatility – Free Space cards are ‘safer’ and less volatile.

Bet Payout
Evolution Monopoly Big Baller Payouts
Free Space card 2-39:1 per line
Chance card 2-199:1 per line
3 Rolls Bonus game kicks off with 3 rolls
5 Rolls Bonus game kicks off with 5 rolls

Note that the above info is only useful for the main game. The bonus monopoly board round has a more complex and extremely volatile system of payouts. It can theoretically go all the way up to 100,000x, which is the highest payout in Monopoly Big Baller. However, getting there will be quite hard.

According to official info, Evolution Monopoly Big Baller RTP is 96.10%. This puts most competing bingo-style live casino games in the dust.

Betting Options

When you’re at a live casino with Monopoly Big Baller, it’s critical to understand that there are several betting options. Let’s take a closer look at all the distinct betting options.

There are several options to choose from when betting on this game, and they include the following:

  • Free Space card – $2,000 maximum bet; this game can apply free spaces (randomly selected numbers on the card) to your card. When you bet on free spaces, you get a payout when these free spaces form part of your win.
  • Chance card – $1,000 maximum bet; the chance cards operate in a similar way to the chance cards in the board game. Except, in this case, they typically serve as multipliers. When your line passes through them, they multiply the value of the resulting payout.
  • 3-roll bonus card – $400 maximum bet.
  • 5-roll bonus card – $250 maximum bet.

The minimum bet on any of these is $0.10.

It’s worth noting that there are many different ways that you can adjust your betting to reflect your playing style. If you place more emphasis on bonus rounds and multipliers, it might be a good idea to somewhat boost your bets in those areas.

Special Features

The biggest thing that links this game to Monopoly Live is the return of the AR Monopoly board. You can again enter the computer-generated world of the board game and win amazing prizes!

To participate in the bonus round, you have to purchase one of the two bonus cards. 3 Rolls comes with 3 random numbers on the card, while 5 Rolls has 4. If all of these numbers are drawn, the bonus round kicks off.

The Monopoly Big Baller bonus round places you on the famous Monopoly game board. It starts off after the main game round ends. It’s played with two dice, like Monopoly. The dice are rolled, which determines your progress around a computer-generated edition of the Monopoly board. Obviously, 3 Rolls means that you get to roll the dice 3 times, collecting bonuses and prizes each time. 5 Rolls grants five rolls, though it’s worth noting that you get a free re-roll every time you get a double result with the dice.

The Evolution Big Baller Monopoly board is identical to the usual one. However, all properties have a multiplier attached to them. Every time you step on one such property, you get a multiplier to the stake you used on the Bonus card. Also, houses and hotels are randomly attached to some properties, increasing their multiplier.

These multipliers are added to each other every time you step on them. There are also some special spaces on the board:

  • Chance and Community Chest can randomly either increase or decrease the multiplier you stacked up so far.
  • Go to Jail moves you to the Jail space. You must roll a double result to get out. However, any prizes you earned before (or after) going to jail are intact.
  • Income tax reduces the bonus round winnings by 10%.
  • Super tax reduces winnings by 20%.
  • Passing Go doubles all the prizes on the board.

Once you use up all your rolls, the Bonus round ends. You collect all the Monopoly Big Baller winnings you earned so far, and the game moves to the next round.

Languages

  • Games like Monopoly Big Baller Live are unique and usually limited to just one 24/7 stream. This means that there is only one table available, and the operating language is English.
  • The UI can be changed to multiple other options, though, including English, Albanian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish.

Our Verdict of Monopoly Big Baller Live

Monopoly Big Baller by Evolution is everything we expected it to be, and so much more!

To be frank, we already felt like the live casino lottery genre was underrepresented. It has a lot of potential for growth and the base rules are a great foundation for adding Game Show features that are so popular these days. They’re a niche product so far, though, which is why most software providers kept their distance. Until now, that is!

Using their powerful Monopoly Live brand and innovative spirit, Evolution created something quite special here. Finally, a Bingo game that doesn’t feel like a dull Sunday in a retirement home.

Between exciting features, stunning visuals, and an actually decent RTP, Big Baller is the gold standard for what live dealer bingo games could be.

FAQ

Monopoly Big Baller is a bingo-style live casino game developed by Evolution. It uses a ball drum and numbers to allow players to wager on the results of a 20-number draw. It's available across all casinos that host Evolution live games.
Not really, no. Although the two games use the same Monopoly brand in their visuals, the gameplay is vastly different. Big Baller is a game about predicting which balls will be drawn from a drum, similar to bingo or keno. The original Monopoly Live revolves around a large money wheel.
Monopoly Big Baller was launched on August 24, 2022. It became available after a few months of announcements and previews of the game.
Technically, the bonus games allow you to increase the multiplier to unlimited levels. However, all payouts in the game are capped at $500,000.

How We Review Live Monopoly Big Baller Casinos

If you’re looking for a trustworthy Monopoly Big Baller casino, you can rely on us to help you find the best options. We have a stringent list of requirements that each of the casinos we review has to meet. Let’s take a closer look at some of the requirements.

First, any casino that we list must be legally licensed. Unlicensed casinos are illegal and will never be approved for our lists. They also need to submit under an appropriate regulatory authority like the Bureau of Gambling Control, the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, or the Malta Gambling Authority.

Other factors that we review before choosing which casinos to recommend include the website’s design, accessibility, and ease of use. We look for online casinos that have a good setup that is easy to use and operate, has a stylish layout, and is compatible with mobile devices.

Another major aspect that we look for is a good set of available payment methods. We want our clients to have easy access to payment methods that are quick and easy to use for making both deposits and withdrawals. We also like to ensure that the casino isn’t consistently getting reviews for slow payouts and deposits.

Finally, we always run a review on the casino’s customer service. It’s critical that the casino offers good customer support options which are available 24/7. You never know when you might need access to assistance, and casinos that respond slowly don’t usually make our list of recommendations.

Responsible Gaming Disclaimer

When you find an enticing game at a live casino (like Monopoly Big Baller), it can quickly become far too important to you. It’s important to always gamble responsibly and not bet more than you can afford to lose.

Here are a few tools that you can use to help ensure that your gambling activities stay within healthy limits:

  • Practice regular timeout and cooldown periods where you don’t gamble.
  • If you’re finding it harder and harder to manage your gambling activities, use the self-exclusion tool to give yourself an enforced cooldown period. You won’t be able to play again till the cooldown period ends.
  • Use bet restrictions and credit card restrictions to prevent yourself from overspending.

If you find that your need to gamble has become more than you can manage with just these simple tools, it’s time to take more severe action. You might need to close your casino account entirely under these circumstances.

You can also seek help from the National Council on Responsible Gambling or phone the toll-free hotline.
