ONE Blackjack was an instant hit when it was released on Pragmatic Play live casinos in 2021. While it’s relatively straightforward as far as single-hand live blackjack games go, it hit all the right beats to stand out from the crowd. Creative rules, interesting side bets, and a commitment to looking good all appealed to players worldwide. So much so that the software provider decided to give it a sequel of sorts.
Blackjack ONE 2 Indigo is not substantially different from the original. As far as we can tell, the main idea was to give the game a new coat of paint. Streamed from Pragmatic Play’s brand-new Chroma studio, the new set was designed by Indigo Studio Design. As far as we can tell, the Chroma Key line of games is easy to integrate with casino visuals and custom detailing. As such, you may see dedicated Blackjack ONE 2 live tables at various top casinos. Not to worry, though – those are delivered through studio magic, and you’re still playing the same game.
Overall, the new studio is a bit toned-down, and mostly in a good way. Instead of bright neon lights, the Blackjack ONE 2 game looks more like an actual casino floor. A very fancy one, at that.
The rules are absolutely identical to the original ONE Blackjack game. None of the specific rules stand out as particularly outlandish, so you shouldn’t have trouble adapting to the format. If you can play 21, you already know how to play ONE Blackjack 2.
As always, your goal is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. More importantly, you want to be closer than the dealer. Pets are placed durng the 15-second period before each round.
When you play ONE Blackjack 2 Indigo, you don’t pick a seat as with some blackjack tables. Instead, all players share one seat and one hand. However, your decisions are completely independent. For example, if you decide to Stand and another player calls a Hit, your hand counts as Standing. That’s why the dealer puts any player cards they draw into a container, which then appear on your interface. Only the cards relevant to your personal game will be displayed on the UI.
All the usual options to Stand, Hit, Split, or Double are available. Any pair can be Split, but you cannot double after splitting. Only one additional card per hand is dealt after splitting Aces. You only get one card after Doubling, too.
If the Dealer is showing an Ace, you can also choose to take Insurance. This bet pays 2:1 if the dealer shows a natural Blackjack.
The Indigo table of ONE Blackjack 2 does not change the payout structure of the original. That’s a good thing – the paytable was up to par with the best in the industry. The main bets are fairly standard – winning pays 1:1, Blackjack pays 3:2, and insurance pays 2:1.

Additionally, ONE Blackjack 2 Indigo rules allow for the Six Card Charlie. This special rule means that you automatically win if you draw 6 or more cards without going over 21.
Moreover, you can make your life easier with the Auto Stand feature. Setting up Auto Stand will make the game automatically Stand when your hand reaches a certain value. You can choose this limit yourself. Auto Stand does trigger if Splitting is available or on soft hands.
ONE Blackjack 2 is an excellent addition to Pragmatic Play’s live dealer portfolio. In short, it’s a premium blackjack experience that’s accessible to almost any gambling budget out there. The execution particularly deserves praise. The providers outdid themselves with the stunning live casino studio and overall presentation.
However, we have some mixed feelings about the release. The fact that the number 2 is in the name implies that it’s a sequel and an improvement over the original. That’s simply not the case. All the changes made are strictly skin-deep and do not improve the rules or gameplay in any way. Considering the 99.28% RTP, some small tweaks to the rules would have been more than welcome.
In and of itself, though, Pragmatic Play’s ONE Blackjack 2 is an excellent game. Standing out with a classic live casino blackjack game in 2021 is not easy, but they managed to do it with this title.
