Prosperity Tree Baccarat is a live casino baccarat game that introduces randomly assigned multipliers to winning hands. This increases the overall volatility of the game, but it also allows for potentially huge rewards. Released by Evolution in 2023, the game boasts an RTP of 98.89% with a minimum bet of $1 and a $5,000 maximum wager. The game is available on both desktop and mobile and features Evolution’s trademark game show presentation.
This brand-new table was intended as a slightly less volatile baccarat with multipliers – especially when compared to Evolution’s similar products. This is reflected in the game’s strong RTP and long-term profitability, but not everyone will prefer such an approach. This game was announced as one of many new Evolution games set to release during 2022 and 2023. The announcements made it quite clear that the goal is to create something similar to Lightning Baccarat, but less volatile and more beginner-friendly. Of course, this puts it somewhat at odds with Golden Wealth Baccarat – Evolution’s other less volatile baccarat table with multipliers.
Overall, though, we would say the Prosperity Tree Baccarat live casino game is a sort of middle ground between these two earlier variants. It’s not quite as volatile as Lightning, but more so than Golden Wealth.
If you’re new to the whole idea of live baccarat games with multipliers and have no idea what we’re talking about, no worries. We’ll explain everything you need to know about the game, how it works, and how to get the most out of it.
We’ll start by pointing out that Evolution Prosperity Tree Baccarat carries on this software provider’s tradition of great-looking games. The studio is quite lavish, featuring flashy golden furnishings and an exciting, interactive presentation. The whole gimmick of the Prosperity Tree is visually represented, too, raining down multipliers on your cards.
Like most online baccarat games, Prosperity Tree Baccarat is played with 8 standard 52-card decks. The basic game flow is extremely simple and easy to get into, which is great for beginners.
The goal is to predict which of the two card piles ends up with a score closer to 9. These piles are called Player and Banker. You can bet on either, or predict that the final result will be a tie. Every round of the game begins with an 18-second betting period, which is the timeframe you have to place your bets. After it closes, you’ll have to wait for the next round.
Initially, each side receives two cards. Cards 1-9 have their face value, while cards 10 and up count as 0. If the final score ends up being a two-digit number, only the last digit counts. For example, a score of 15 counts as 5.
If either of the two piles gets an 8 or 9, it automatically wins unless the opposing hand has the same score or higher. Additionally, a third card may be dealt to each in specific circumstances, such as a score of 0-5 after the first two cards. You can read more about this third card rule in baccarat here. Importantly, the Banker bet is slightly more likely to win due to the specifics of the third card rule. That’s why all banker bets pay a commission of 5% of the stake.
The key feature of Prosperity Tree Baccarat is the system of Prosperity cards. These are the multipliers that can boost your winnings substantially. However, all bets in Prosperity Tree Baccarat pay a 20% fee to cover the cost of these additional multipliers.
After the betting period ends in any round of the game, the aptly named Prosperity Tree lights up. It reveals eight cards, which have been randomly selected through RNG. These eight cards are assigned multipliers of either 2x or 3x.
If one or more of these Prosperity Cards are dealt to the winning hand, any related payouts are multiplied by the indicated number.
For example, let’s say you placed a bet on Player. The Prosperity Tree places a 3x multiplier on 5 of Clubs. The Player hand then draws a 5 of Clubs and wins the round. In this scenario, you’ll win 3:1 instead of the standard Player payout of 1:1.
Interestingly, these multipliers can stack. For example, if you’re lucky enough to win with a hand that has two Prosperity Cards with 2x and 3x, the total multiplier will be 6x. Furthermore, the Tie bet benefits from all cards from both piles. That’s why it can win up to 3645:1 by stacking six Prosperity Cards.
Prosperity Tree Baccarat also features two side bets – Player Pair and Banker Pair. They’re pretty much identical, except each is related to the corresponding card pile.
Pairs bets in Baccarat win if the first two cards dealt to that pile are of the same rank. For example, a Player Pair bet wins if the Player hand draws two same-value cards.
Note that Pair side bets in Prosperity Tree Baccarat can also benefit from Prosperity Card multipliers.
The good part about Prosperity Tree Baccarat is that the payouts remain largely identical to regular live baccarat. This is most important for the two main bets – Player and Banker. Both sides still pay out even money, though Banker bets have a standard 5% commission.
However, every bet also has the potential to substantially increase rewards through the Prosperity Card system we explained above. The maximum possible multiplier for Player and Banker bets would be three 3x cards, which totals 27x. You can find all of the details below, along with the RTP rate of every bet in Prosperity Tree Baccarat. Just keep in mind the 20% commission which is always charged on all bets in the game. It does not count towards calculating rewards.
Also, note that the maximum payout in Prosperity Tree Baccarat is $500,000, which is the hard cap in all Evolution games.
Bet | Payout | RTP | |
---|---|---|---|
Prosperity Tree Baccarat Payouts | |||
Player | 1-27:1 | 98.89% | |
Banker | 1-27:1 | 98.74% | |
Tie | 5-3645:1 | 92.78% | |
Player Pair | 10-90:1 | 92.53% | |
Banker Pair | 10-90:1 | 92.53% |
The optimal RTP in Prosperity Tree Baccarat is 98.89%, which applies only to the Player bet. Interestingly, this aligns with most top live baccarat games out there. Unfortunately, the same is true for the Tie and Pair bets, which almost always suffer from a steep house advantage.
