About EntwineTech Software

EntwineTech began its life in 2004. Initially, their name was Enterasia, but they changed it in 2019. Their first offices were in the Philippines. Right from the start, their goal was to provide premium live casino software to Asian casinos.

Even though people throughout the globe enjoy gambling, specific preferences vary from region to region. As you probably know, players from Southeast Asia mainly prefer games such as baccarat, Dragon Tiger, Sicbo, and other variants. So, that’s what EntwineTech started pursuing. Back in the day, live dealer tables were still a novelty, and the niche was pretty much the equivalent of the Wild West. Amidst that chaos, ET emerged as a reliable and entertaining option.

Initially, EntwineTech only ran a few tables, since they didn’t have many clients. Over time, the benefits of their software became apparent. Not only is it lightweight and easy to add to any online casino, but it’s also reliable, with a 98.99% uptime guarantee.

While non-stop availability might be taken for granted today, the 2000s were a different time. Frequent disconnects, lag, sound malfunction, and other problems were the Achilles’ heel of many of their rivals. EntwineTech’s rise is a great example of how important it is to address problems in the iGaming industry. It’s also worth mentioning that they have a separate software platform for mobile play, called n²-LIVE.

When it comes to the legal stuff, EntwineTech oozes legitimacy. They have two licenses in the Philippines, one from PAGCOR and the other from the First Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corporation (FCLRC). In addition to this, they are licensed by the Isle of Man Government, one of Europe’s most esteemed gambling regulators. Industry experts and insiders know them as a brand that’s present at every conference. Every year, it’s a hectic schedule, involving events such as the Gaming Technology Conference, ICE Conference, Caribbean Gaming Show & Summit, and the iGaming Super Show. This allows them to present their products to players and potential clients alike. Given their reputation, we would say this strategy is a success, wouldn’t you agree?

Entwine Tech Studio Locations Worldwide

In the first year or so, EntwineTech was busy building and testing its platform. Only when they had a stable product and a Filipino license were they able to open up a studio. Their Manilla facilities immediately caught the attention of everyone. While most Asian live casino developers went all out on oriental imagery, ET wanted to do something unusual. They somehow managed to fuse the vibe of Macau with the one of Vegas. It was an interesting choice, as nobody thought these two themes would go together. Devoid of dragon and tiger imagery at every step, the backdrop of EntwineTech’s table became a proper hit.

In 2018, they broke a barrier that nobody thought was possible. With the opening of their studio in Latvia, this provider became the first Asian live dealer company to build and open their own facilities in Europe. Sure, Asia Gaming followed up with their Portomaso tables, but this isn’t an independent studio. They are merely renting the floor space in an existing land-based casino. Whilst still an impressive move, EntwineTech will forever be remembered as a trailblazer. Even though it’s been a little over three years since the Latvian grand opening, ET managed to attract quite a few European-centric sites. This number is expected to rise, as the provider looks to achieve world domination.

With these two studios, EntwineTech was able to create a balance and prevent the overburdening of their team of dealers. So, you can expect to see English-speaking dealers at European casinos that carry ET’s software. For Asian markets, Chinese and Malay-speaking employees will handle the business, along with the usual English-speaking ones. We have to say, for people whose native language isn’t English, they are surprisingly fluent. There wasn’t even a single lapse in communication, and the politeness can be felt in both studios. This consistency is one of EntwineTech’s strong sides and Livecasinos.com is certain you’ll appreciate it.

Live Game Portfolio of EntwineTech

The EntwineTech portfolio consists mainly of baccarat live dealer games, roulette, blackjack, and there are also options of Sic Bo and Dragon Tiger.

Particularly popular is their Jeju series which consists of several notable titles that we can freely recommend (in addition to the RNG variants):

At first, the games suffered from poor stream quality and lack of additional features, but now all of them can be experienced in full screen, in multiple languages, and on mobile. A large part of this provider’s mobile prowess is the n2-LIVE platform, fully optimized for all smartphones. Sporting innovation and stability, the new mobile software gives the players what they’ve been craving in the past few years. Whether or not the results of this effort were successful is up for debate.

As for the stream that n2-LIVE live runs on, it is powered by AngeInLive and the product boasts both a native app and HTML5-based games. However, we have a problem with the fact that not every game is available for mobile play. At first, we thought this was due to the games running on different platforms, but the tech part of the team concluded this wasn’t the case. In a time where mobile gaming is growing at a rapid pace, it’s just laziness not to bother to port all of your games to smartphones. Still, the overall offer contains some nice things.

Now, this is more like it. While weren’t quite feeling Live Blackjack, the roulette section is much more pleasant. Not only are there four variants instead of one, but the UI is significantly better. Unlike other providers, which either force you to change the camera angle yourself or do it automatically, EntwineTech uses a dual-video system. At the same time, you can watch the dealer spin the wheel and the overhead view of the action within the wheel. After spending a few hours at the table, we have to say it’s much easier to be focused this way. We didn’t see a lot of Asian Roulette from other companies, so it’s a pleasant surprise. The Asian Fan Tan concept works great and is a nice break from the European version. 3D Roulette is also cool, but it’s nothing more than a gimmicky version of the original game. Nevertheless, it’s a nicely executed gimmick.

At this point, EntwineTech offers only a single variant - Big Screen Blackjack. Despite the fancy name, it’s pretty much the basic version. Hitting blackjack pays 3:2 and insurance pays 2:1. The software provides several betting options, including Multi-hand, Bet Behind, and Pairs. For added game security, the rank and suit of each card being dealt are read by an i-Shoe setup. And there’s also a neat convenience-based feature. Apparently, the interface offers a Game Switcher feature that enables players to go directly to other tables without having to go back to the lobby. For pros, this is a very useful option, and can save you a lot of time and effort. Even though the UI is lightweight, it can still use a bit of work. However, we like the fact that there’s an AI-based mapping system, which helps you make better decisions. It’s basically an algorithm that analyses your decision-making and cross-references it with the optimal decisions in a certain situation. Beginners can benefit from this in a great way.

EntwineTech’s bread and butter has always been baccarat. So, it’s no surprise to see a whopping eight variants. Apart from Super 6, Traditional Baccarat, and Super Baccarat, you can try your hand at Dragon Bonus Baccarat, Baccarat Pair, Points Baccarat, and the latest release, Dragon Phoenix Baccarat. The newest member of the family, Dragon Phoenix Baccarat, has the same rules as the existing baccarat games from the same company, but introduces new bets and higher payouts. Live casinos targeting high rollers can also benefit from VIP Baccarat which comes complete with an extended betting time and higher table limits. There’s something for everyone! While we were never fans of portfolios skewed in favor of a single game, there’s no denying that this is one of the best providers for baccarat. Still, we would love to see them invest this much work in other games. It’s obvious EntwineTech has the right idea but lacks in the diversity department.

One of the products unique to EntwineTech is Multi-Gate Dragon & Tiger, which combines mythos with standard Dragon Tiger rules. There are three gates in the game: the earth gate, the human gate, and the heaven gate. Each provides betting odds labeled Dragon Tiger, and Tie, and the participants can bet on one or multiple gates at once. This one was a nice surprise, as we weren’t expecting to see such a fun variation of an already famous game. If you are in the mood to try new things, we would definitely recommend Multi-Gate Dragon & Tiger. It has that oriental feel, too! There’s also Live Sic Bo, but our opinion is that this game leaves a lot to be desired. Not only is the dealer ‘crammed’ in a small part of the screen, but the road maps are so disorganized and distracting. We believe that there are much better places to bet on the iconic three dice.

It’s 2021 and having an online presence is essential for any company, especially for one that specializes in live casino software. So, we would love to know why doesn’t EntwineTech mention how many languages their tables come in? Thankfully, we had enough time on our hands to conduct some research. As far as we were able to tell, only English, Chinese, and Malay are available. Whilst not a bad combination, we would still like to see more options. Especially now, when the provider has a studio in Latvia. However, it’s probably down to demand. If there aren’t too many players from a particular country, there’s no need to add a language, sadly. Still, it’s great to see a casino that offers Malay. Along with Thai, Arabic, Farsi, and Turkish, this language is oftentimes disregarded by live casino providers. Even though it’s a smart choice to carve out such a niche, it doesn't change the fact that there are just two native tables available.

Devices and Platforms Supported by EntwineTech

While the majority of EntwineTech’s games are optimized for mobile play, it’s worth mentioning that there are some who aren’t. It’s quite a baffling situation. We would understand if Evolution, a company with hundreds of tables and games, to miss a variant or two. However, not bothering to equip a measly 14 games for devices that literally everyone has is not a good look. Still, you can get a large chunk of the offer on your iOS or Android phone. Newer Windows phones and tablets can also run ET’s software, as it’s lightweight compared to the heavy-duty games from other providers.

Our Summary – EntwineTech Game Provider

This might sound harsh, but there’s nothing particularly amazing about EntwineTech. Even though they’ve been in the business for a little less than two decades, they haven’t done anything memorable or remarkable. The best trait of this provider is the wide array of baccarat games and tables. At the same time, it’s also the most confusing part. The games are surprisingly decent and perfectly enjoyable for players of all walks of life. Why didn’t they put the same effort into sic-bo and blackjack? It’s obvious that there are some issues that EntwineTech needs to address. Until then, they’ll keep getting overshadowed by competitors.

Regardless of what we just said, these aren’t unfixable problems. This is still a trustworthy provider with three licenses and more than 80 clients. Multi-Gate Dragon Tiger is also a bright spot, despite the gloomy nature of this summary. We wouldn’t recommend EntwineTech as a first or a second choice supplier, as they don’t have the camera quality, mobile presence, or game selection that many of their competitors have. However, if you run into some of their tables, they can still be a solid alternative or a means to change things up. They have potential and we hope they realize that.
