About XPro Gaming Software

XPro Gaming was founded in 2005, in Bratislava, Slovakia. Compared to most other brands on the market, they are veterans of the industry. While 15+ years isn’t an eon by any means, it’s still impressive to see a company exist so long in such a competitive business. So, what is XPG’s secret? Are they really that good or is their success due to a gimmick? Honestly, it’s a bit of both. XPro Gaming is objectively a great software provider, but they also know how to mask their deficiencies. To be so consistent, they focused on multiple markets and dabbled in all sorts of games.

By doing so, they’ve successfully shed the ‘niche provider’ moniker. That’s one of the hardest things for any iGaming company to accomplish. One factor helping them reach these heights is the diversity of games that they’re offering. Too many times have we seen brands focus only on roulette, such as Fazi, or baccarat, such as EntwineTech. Even if you’re incredibly passionate about a single game, it’s still wise to take a break, right? And that’s why we love XPro Gaming. They understand that modern casino players have broad interests. Through a clever approach, XPG is able to maintain a strong presence and attract new clients on a consistent basis.

In terms of trustworthiness, this provider is decent. In 2015, the brand obtained a certificate of fairness from iTechLabs. This third-party auditor is amongst the best in the game, so you already know their seal of approval means a lot. In recent years. XPro Gaming has been on a steady rise. You can see their booth at almost every iGaming event show or conference, and there’s always a crowd surrounding it. While XPG is still a long way from becoming an industry leader, it’s evident that they have the chops for achieving this. Until that happens, they have to focus on improving their UI, stream quality, and several other things.

XPro Gaming Studio Locations Worldwide

One unorthodox facet of XPG are their studios. In most cases, we see providers stream their games from facilities in Latvia, Malta, or Estonia. However, XPro Gaming went down a different route. Their main studios are in Moldova and Bulgaria. While Eastern Europe is definitely becoming a hotspot for all aspiring providers, it has seen a notable absence of reputable, legacy brands. Again, XPG is not in the upper echelon of the live casino niche, but we hope this move will cause other companies to diversify and set up shop in Bulgaria and Moldova. However, despite their efforts, XPro Gaming still falls short in some aspects.

For starters, what’s up with the stream quality? Playing at XPG’s tables can sometimes feel like you’re in the middle of a Zoom call, where the other person has a webcam from 2007. While you can definitely see what’s going on, it’s also a far cry from a premium experience. Even though our office has a stable internet connection, we experienced sporadic lagging and some minor bugs. Whether or not this is a deal breaker is up to you. However, if your main objective is to play live dealer games smoothly, with HD video, XPro Gaming might not be the right choice for you.

Despite there not being any native tables, we really enjoyed interacting with the dealers. They’re all fluent in English, and are more than willing to explain or exclaim anything that’s needed. Also, despite the shoddy stream quality, the studio just looks great. All the equipment is handled by Cammegh, a British casino equipment manufacturer. It’s obvious that this partnership was a great choice. While Cammegh mainly specializes in roulette wheels, their software and other solutions aren’t anything to scoff at. Because of this quality-based approach to the whole problem, it’s still perplexing to see the bad stream quality and cheap UI mess the whole thing up. Get your act together, XPG.

Live Game Portfolio of XPro Gaming

XPro Gaming streams the action from its studios in Slovakia and Bulgaria. The tables are hosted by pro dealers, with whom you can chat just by typing in a box. However, it must be noted that when it comes to transparency, XPG could do a better job; namely, there is no easy way to find the house rules, which can be really annoying sometimes. In terms of the games themselves, the XPro Gaming’s platform comes with over 20 tables offering roulette, blackjack, baccarat, Sic Bo, poker and Dragon Tiger. In terms of quantity, this provider is amongst the best. Their quality, on the other hand, is a different story.

Looking at them from a surface level, XPG’s games aren’t unplayable or a nuisance. It’s just that Livecasinos.com hates seeing brands with a high level of potential squander it all away. Don’t be deceived by our brash tone, though. We do believe XPro Gaming can make it. They’re not just there yet. So, if you want to check what this provider has to offer, check out the demo versions on their site. By being given virtual money, you can actually experience their tables without risking a single penny. Still, we decided to break down XPG’s main games, including their features and drawbacks. Let’s check them out, shall we?

Three variants for poker, too? Yup, you heard that right. And it’s because of things like this that we can’t help but be mad at this provider. They offer much more than many other companies but are hampered by several technological deficiencies. Still, you’ll like Live Casino Hold’em. It’s the basic version everyone knows and loves. You can play directly against the dealer or engage against other players in Live Multiplayer poker. Usually, you have to choose between the two, so it’s nice to see XPro Gaming thinking outside the box. Overall, it’s your basic 7-seater, with all the standard betting options. What surprised us the most was Live Caribbean Stud Poker. The Livecasinos.com team has never seen this popular variant outside of RNG versions, which makes this perhaps the only live iteration of Caribbean Stud. We would definitely try this game if we were you. Despite XPG’s downfalls, they did a pretty nice job with this one.

This section basically continues the theme of this XPro Gaming software review. It’s all about variety, and the provider hasn’t spared any efforts in providing it. Andar Bahar was a sight for sore eyes, as we always wanted to see this iconic Indian game at European providers. Sic-bo and two versions of Dragon Tiger are also available. All the side-bets are there, including the classic table design. The dealers have evidently been trained well, so you’re bound to have a good time. It’s refreshing to see different gambling cultures mixing and we welcome the introduction of oriental games to European players. However, there’s also an American influence in XPro Gaming’s case. Completely out of left field, they released Live Wheel of Fortune. While providers like Evo do have game shows as a part of their rosters, few companies have been brave enough to follow suit. Even though it’s not perfect, you should give it a go.

The table limits at Xpro Gaming that apply to blackjack games are quite flexible. They’re appropriate for medium and high rollers. The stakes that can be placed vary from a minimum bet of $5-25, all the way up to a maximum of $500-2,000. You’ll have the pleasure of playing at tables with some of the most pleasant dealers. Also, you’ll notice that not only the rules of all blackjack variants at Xpro Gaming are a mystery, but also that even the layouts on the tables are simply green; this is unconventional since the majority of the providers include at least some rules on the layout like the blackjack payout or the side bets. Honestly, we can’t overlook this lack of effort. If you’re a beginner, we suggest you avoid this provider. The rules of blackjack are easy and even the most low-budget providers take the time to explain the rules of their game to new players. It’s also bad news for number-crunchers. You simply can’t make a good risk assessment plan without knowing the payout rate of any bet.

Now this is more like it. Cammegh world-famous roulette wheels are a sight to behold. At first glance, they look like something out of a 1930s film noir but they’re also very hi-tech and reliable. We love the fact that there are four different variants you can play at XPro Gaming casinos - VIP, Dragon, European, and Auto Roulette. If you want to make a splash, then have a crack at one of XPG’s VIP tables. In contrast with the blackjack offer, this is a breath of fresh air. The variety is absolutely the highlight of this section, as not too many providers think of adding Auto Roulette. Despite all the positive criticism we just wrote, why on Earth does XPG still refuse to implement a full-screen stream at their roulette tables? There’s literally no point in clogging two thirds of the screen with a clunky UI. With roulette, this offense gets even worse as the game has one of the simplest bet systems.

Again, XPro Gaming hits us with copious amounts of diversity. Roulette is somewhat expected from a European-oriented providers, but baccarat? It’s strange because we mostly see Asian brands, such as N2-Live or Asia Gaming, offering multiple variants of this iconic game. XPG has three variants of baccarat - Classic, Super Six, and Fast. If you’re a beginner, then we suggest you avoid Fast Baccarat. Not because it’s terrible or something along those lines, but because everything moves at blistering speeds. Even our team of experts was caught off guard by this, so we recommend this game to only the pros. Both Super Six Baccarat and Classic Baccarat are great, but we were somewhat annoyed by the gargantuan UI (again). The best live casino games let you focus on both the footage and the UI equally. XPro Gaming, sadly, isn’t aware of this. We would love to see them tidy things up in the future.

Devices and Platforms Supported by XPro Gaming

One of the positives related to XPG is the provider’s cross-platform presence. Using the latest industry standards, they’ve made their games available on all mobile devices. We’re not sure about Windows Mobile though, as updates to the OS have been discontinued in late 2019. Still, you can enjoy the best roulette, baccarat, and poker tables on your iOS or Android device. Since the stream is of questionable quality, you don’t need a superb internet connection or an expensive phone. Tablets will also do just nicely. The UI is still a problem on smartphones, but we don’t believe it to be such a big distraction as it is on a PC.

This provider is compatible with the following mobile devices:

Casino available on Android devices

Android (Android Phone & Tablet)

Casino available on Apple iOS devices

iOS Apple (iPhone & iPad)

Our Summary – XPro Gaming Game Provider

If LiveCasinos.com were to create an award for the Most Frustrating Live Casino provider, XPro Gaming would arguably be the first recipient. Looking at some of the previous sections, we realize our tone may have been a bit harsh. However, if you’ve been reading our reviews, then you know we hate to see providers with potential that are content with being mediocre. This low level of video quality, coupled with some questionable design choices, is simply unacceptable for a casino that has so much stuff going for it. It does seem like we dwell on the negatives too much, but XPro Gaming has a lot to offer.

They’re without a doubt one of the most diverse providers. Not only have they covered all the classics, but each popular game comes with a couple of variants. We also loved the fact that you can play many Asian games, too. Andar Bahar and Dragon Tiger are not frequently seen in Europe. When you also add the fact that XPG also offers Live Wheel of Fortune, you just might understand why we have such high expectations. Thankfully, most of these problems are easily fixable and don’t require a big overhaul. Still, we would like to see XPro Gaming make the jump sometime soon!
